A break from traditional burger joints. Texas Meltz do not serve traditional Burgers and Sandwiches...They are Melts. Over the top quality, and flavor....Made To Order... Many sandwiches to choose from...Had the Cowboy Burger on Texas Toast with grilled onions and choice of real cheese... Meat patty was thick and tender and lightly salt and peppered. The onions fried. Again, you have a choice of what "real" cheese you want..The Texas Toast fried and buttered. The Chipotle mayo was mildly flavorful. Simple as that. You could taste all the different flavors of the melt without it being a mixed together mash up of flavors. Can't wait to try their other sandwiches. One might actually call these Melts...Comfort Food. They have house made potato salad, and coleslaw, neither is the sweet version..This place is a little hole in the wall place. The owners are very nice and are real and pride themselves in having quality food....I marked this down as a find for the Reno area.
Went back to TM incognito and had an excellent brisket burger. So yummy!!!!!!
Thanks to Texas Meltz for providing the team at Media X-Ray Digital Marketing Agency with some delicious sandwiches! We had the brisket burger on Texas toast, the Philly cheesesteak with jalapeños, the BBQ brisket (my personal favorite), and the Tuna. Oh and very interesting, smoky potato salad! Innovative! Very cool that this place is inside the Uswirl locations, as I could go for a sweet cup of frozen yogurt right about now. (Next time for sure...hard to take frozen yogurt to go, especially for a team of five!) Thanks, Texas Meltz!!!
We decided to give this place a try and was absolutely amazed by the exceptional quality of the food. We sampled a variety of dishes, ranging from the Houston sandwich to the crispy Fried Okra, and even a sandwich reminiscent of the famous Philly cheesesteak. Each dish we tried was thoroughly enjoyable, leaving us eager to return. Our next visit will include our beloved family and friends, as we are confident they will also appreciate this hidden gem.
The coleslaw was mediocre, and the sodas were okay. But the sandwich was deliciously tender and juicy with the meat. With the spicy BBQ sauce, that sauce impacted the flavor of that sandwich, which made me enjoy eating. Would recommend going there because it was good to try.
Food and meat were insane. Talk about quality and service. All the meats were extremely tender and juicy with plenty of flavor. They also had a ton of different BBQ sauces which were to die for. On top of that the lady who took our or was so sweet and charming.
Okay this restaurant nails authentic Texan BBQ whether it’s briskets, melts , Burgers or Collard greens. But when I walked into the restaurant I felt welcomed almost immediately amazing customer service.
I ordered a burger for 9.99 I forgot the name but it had a 1/4 pound burger, pepperjack caramelized onions And some type of sauce on it (it was amazing) on Texas toast with dirty rice on the side the dirty rice had a amazing flavor I paired said burger and rice with sweet BBQ, hot BBQ, Buffalo and ranch and I cannot recommend this place enough whether it’s for munchies or those cravings in the afternoon this place has it. Don’t forget to tip the boot :)
I've decided to try this after reading Google reviews.. I saw that they had deep-fried baby back ribs on the menu and knew I had to go. I am not disappointed. The customer service was totally on point. Because I wasn't sure what side I wanted, they offered me a taste of the baked beans. I've never had beans with TRI tip in them before. I have not been living my best life because they are the most delicious beans I have ever had..the ribs even without sauce (and they have a plethora to choose from), taste like if fried chicken and ribs had a baby. Perfectly seasoned and crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside. Oh I love little mom and pop type places, you have won me over.

I had bookmarked this place and forgot about it. When I was looking at Google maps I was reminded and decided to give it a shot. The reviews were good and I liked the concept. The woman who works the cashier is a valuable asset, hope she is one of the owners because they can’t afford to lose her. The way she greets everyone and makes suggestions along with her great attitude starts you out right.
Putting sandwiches on Texas toast is such a great idea. I also read the reviews on the fried ribs and had to give them a try. We also ordered the Dallas, which is a brisket sandwich w/ cheddar and grilled onions, and the Laredo, a cheeseburger with smoked sausage and grilled onions.
Also got fried okra because not too many places have it, and baked beans.
Had the order to go so it was nice to see everything labeled so no guessing who gets what sandwich or which one is which. The fried ribs were different and the bbq sauce was good along with the fried onions. The Laredo was juicy and hit the spot. Really liked the Dallas, superb. The fried okra was OK but would have been better with some sort of sauce or even just ranch. Baked beans were OK as well.
All of the Texas toast was grilled to perfection.
I will definitely be back.
Came in here a couple months ago and the food here is pretty good. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. Since my visit I’ve noticed the place has become a popular spot. it’s in a good location. So sad to see them close they had some good bbq sandwiches and huge portions too.
Sooooo good. We got spare ribs, The Midland, and The San Antonio. Huge sandwiches. Delicious sides. Fantastic service.

the brisket was so much more tender than some BBQ spots it's unbelievable how much flavor this sandwich packed
the cole slaw is tangy and creamy, the potato salad just exploded with bacon and smoke
