My bf & I like to try local restaurants & I’ve driven past Curry Leaf a few times & made a point to finally try it. I’ll start my review by saying I highly recommend Curry Leaf. The service provided by our server / bartender Elmer was outstanding. He greeted us, welcomed us to our table of
our choosing, presented menus with water, and continually checked on us throughout our meal. He was always around to see if we needed anything additional or how we were enjoying our meal. We felt very welcomed here. Also, our food temperature was perfect, spice level was to our preference, full of flavor, and satiable. I particularly chose this restaurant due to having vegetarian/ vegan options available. I ordered the mango curry w/ vegetables & jasmine white rice, vegetarian samosas, vegan garlic naan bread, and my bf was looking forward to & ordered the butter chicken along with lentil soup. Highly recommend all of them. We finished our meal with a nice rice pudding for dessert which was a nice light touch to end the night. This is great for all ages, date night, family meal.
During the past few months, I've been on an Indian food kick. I conducted my routine Google search to find a restaurant that I never got to experience yet, and stumbled across this one. As with any other restaurants, I read several reviews and looked at their online menu to see if it's worth driving the distance to try it out (I live in the far Northwest part of Las Vegas) - needless to say, it won my interest. So on 1 Dec 2023, my wife and I decided to try this restaurant for dinner.
When we walked in, I was a little confused because there was a host/hostess counter right inside the front door but no one was standing there. However, there was a sign posted directing customers to head towards the bar area to get seated. Regardless, as soon as we walked around the corner and towards the bar, one of the employees acknowledged our presence and immediately offered us to choose our own table. The restaurant wasn't busy at all so we basically had free reign to choose whatever table we wanted, which was comforting.
Our server brought us water right away which was a good start to showcasing their customer service. Yes, I've been to many restaurants where you'd sit at your table for 15+ minutes before anyone brings water or asks what you want to drink. Also, I enjoyed how this restaurant left an entire water pitcher on our table because I drink a lot of water, so this was perfect for me. And unless the employees are consistently walking around filling water glasses, I hate having to frequently ask for water. Furthermore, their water pitcher happens to be one of the coolest pitchers I've ever seen at a restaurant (see photo attached to this review).
As far as our meal, we ordered the Samosa Teen Tarike Se to start; the Chili Garlic Naan, Kuchumber Salad, Paneer Saag Curry (spice level 2), and Lamb Rogan Josh Curry (spice level 5) for our main course. Everything was cooked to perfection with respect to texture, heat/spice level, and flavor. The Chili Garlic Naan was out of this world...we normally would order garlic naan at any Indian restaurant; however, the moment this menu item caught our attention, we had to try it. The balance of flavor and spice was magnificent! The one dish that was mediocre was the Samosa (appetizer). I'm not certain if I may have read it wrong but I thought we were supposed to get three different flavors to try. When we received our order, two of the pastries were the same (green peas), and the third one was paneer and corn, I believe. Needless to say, we didn't get to try the potato Samosa. And we didn't realize it until it was too late and by the time we realized it, our main course was arriving at our table. But guess what? I didn't lose sleep over it either.
As I alluded to earlier, the customer service here was great; the employees were very friendly, professional, and attentive. The restaurant lighting and décor were superb and the price-to-quantity/quality ratio was phenomenal. I respect how this business supports the men and women of the Armed Forces to include its Veterans - this is very appreciative! If you've never tried this place before, then what are you waiting for? I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Excellent Indian food! The samosa was amazing, the stuffed peshwari naan was unique and delicious! The curry was excellent and the spice was perfect!
The Indian food was excellent with unique flavors. They did not offer the conventional Indian food but a variety in a great balance of spices. It was well decorated and the ambiance was amazing. The restrooms are clean. The owner and the MasterChef Mr. Ritesh Patel was wonderful and also very personable.
Great food definitely recommend the butter chicken with garlic non bread they give options of 0 to 10 spicy
My mom and I came here for the first time on Mother’s Day 2023 because she loves Indian food and we’ve driven by this restaurant many times and thought we should try it. The service, food, and atmosphere were all amazing. The staff is super attentive and helpful, the food is more flavorful and a fair price compared to many other restaurants and most of the food I think is pretty healthy too, and they even have live music that’s laid back sometimes which we enjoyed. We took my whole family here after and have been back a few times. Every time we go it’s great. My dad and brother even enjoyed it and they are very picky eaters!
Food was good. I wouldn't say it was the best, but Indian food in general is amazing so I couldn't complain much. I will be coming back soon.
Impressed with everything we ordered. Definitely worth coming back and trying out more of the menu. We had samosas to start - they were ok but the sauces brought it home. We ordered two dishes from the Chef's Specials - the sea bass and the marinated chicken thighs. Amazing! Finished with some dessert and again super satisfying - the rice pudding and the gulab jamun. Now we're officially in love with this place. So happy about our last minute decision to try this place out.
I love that you can truly customize spiciness here. I enjoyed Rogan Josh without spices for the first time every. It was amazing since I cannot handle any heat in my food. I am definitely coming back again next time I want Indian food!
Came here for weekday lunch, no problem with distancing as restaurant is spacious.
Didn't have any expectation on Indian food but turned out my Lamb Rogan Rosh $12.99 was really great and just the right amount of spiciness (#7). Portion size was big and lots of lamb.
Veg Trio Samosa $5.99 was average.
Service was attentive.
Overall recommend this neighborhood Indian place
