Sofrito Rico Authentic Puerto Rican Cuisine

100% authentic taste. I’ve been to the island and the food at this restaurant is on par. I’m so glad that this place exists. I always feel like I’m right back in PR when I come here and take in the smells, listen to the salsa boricua, and eat the only place serving up boricua comida typica. Not to mention that the prices are very fair for the portions

Loved it! I was raised in Puerto Rico and let me tell you that the food here is authentic. This was our second time eating here and this second time was even better than the first. We had a party of 6. For the appetizers we ordered empanadillas de pizza. They were delicious. One thing I noticed is that the dough resembles more of a pastelillo than an empanadilla but it was delicious either way. For the entrees we ordered the meat stew, chicken stew, churrasco, jibarito de bistec. The sides we tried were the white rice and beans, arroz mamposteao. Morongo, yuca fries, tostones and maduros (amarillos). I can’t pick a favorite because everything was so good. The flavor was perfect and not overly salty. The churrasco was cooked to perfection. We were so full that we didn’t order dessert but next time we’ll definitely try the flan de queso.

This is one of the best if not THE BEST PuertoRican restaurant so far, the closest to home. I’m from Puerto Rico and just moved 7 months ago, and was craving PuertoRican food and this has been the best one so far. The service was amazing and they made us feel at home 100% recommend 💕 give it a try you won’t regret it.

Food is great and sweet tea was perfect. I had a puerto rican rice bowl with pork and sweet plantain, hubby had the churasco steak and monfungo. We weren't as hungry this time, but I wished we had gotten the fried fish appetizer we had last time. It was served with a red pepper vinegar sauce that was an amazing flavor. We both had extra garlic sauce which is also so flavorful. We did have a wait for the food which I understand, the food is made when ordered. Although I saw people who ordered after us got their to- go food faster. It was also pretty warm in the restaurant, which we don't enjoy while eating. But we did enjoy our food.
