When we got there, it was empty. The most friendly hostess welcomed us in. The place is VERY reasonably priced. Though prices were great, the flavor was just okay, not the best in comparison to other Ethiopian places we have been to. Injera bread's flavor was good but the meat dishes didn't have the kick of spices we were looking for. But friendly staff and prices at this location cannot be beat. We will revisit this place again.

Extremely friendly service staff and chef. Family owned and authentic, not to mention delicious food. Be sure to get it all on one plate and share to enjoy extra injera and to try everything. Recently moved from downtown location, operates inside the Geneva Coffee Shop and Bakery so don't be thrown off by that. Will drive down from Hershey just to enjoy the hospitality and the food.

We enjoy ethiopian food so had to try this place. The food was very good. Had a variety of dishes both with meat and vegetarian. Tried all of their side dishes. The food had nice flavors but was not hot spicy. We should have asked for a little hot sauce for those of us who enjoy more spice. It is a husband and wife team and they were very nice and took care of us. It is also Byob which we appreciate. We will definitely return. Hope others go too.

We had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is clean, inviting, and lots of plants! The food was terrific. Very good prices. The owner and his wife were delightful. I highly recommend eating here!

So impressed - not only was the food outstanding, the whole experience was marvelous. The family that owns the restaurant was extremely accommodating in letting us stay late, and made a special side dish of rice for one of us who doesn't eat injera. I'll be going back here every couple weeks :)

Soooo happy to find Almaz! Ethiopian food is one of our favorites, but we have had a hard time finding a good restaurant lately, and didn’t think we had a chance in central PA. We found the food to be traditional and absolutely delicious. We had lentil and beef sambusa, with a delicious cilantro sauce. (Warning... the sauce is spicy, but great.). We wanted to taste a variety of veggie dishes, and they were very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the. The yebeg wat (lamb) and doro wat (chicken and egg) had marvelous berbere sauce, with just the right heat. Our server was also excellent. We will be back! Can’t wait to try the Ethiopian coffee when it is not so late at night.
