The best fish tacos to ever grace my mouth with their presence. I'm not kidding, the BEST. Everyone working was incredibly friendly and the restaurant looked nice and was very clean. I'll definitely be coming back!
Bar area was nice, plenty of seating. Food was tasty, cherry donut was a little overdone. Service was great. Happy hour prices and deals are good.
I got a lot of food for the price! I had no clue I was getting that much, and it tasted really good. The steak quesadilla entre was so tremendous. I took a picture of the food container (minus the lettuce, guacamole, and sour cream container) next to a Keurig machine so viewers could see how big the takeout amount is.
My entire life is changed after coming to this restaurant, the food was so good my entire perspective on Mexican food is different, it’s pretty much the best restaurant I’ve ever gone to in my life and I owe everything to this place for giving me a chance just have a taste of their masterful recipes , my server was Molly

Funny, this is is second time I've visited this charming family-style Mexican Restaurant just off of the I-5 (actually on Pacific Highway SW) in Lakewood, WA. Both times I stopped here, was because the I-5 was so backed up, Google maps rerouted me to avoid it from exit 127, WA512 to Gravelly Lake Dr, 3 miles down the road. Both times also, when viewing the I-5 from Pacific Highway SW from where it is visible again, I made the decision to wait it out a little, and pulled into the parking lot of El Toro instead.
Both times I have been delighted I made that decision. It's not merely that it was better than sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic on a poorly maintained piece of American infrastructure, it's truly a pleasant place, with friendly staff, and good food.
This time when I was seated, the server asked if I'd like something to drink, and I said a margarita, but with his tequila, nothing out of the well. She replied with a smile and said "on the rocks with salt?" To which I replied, "if course." I liked it when a server doesn't miss a beat like that. She's brought back a very well made to shelf margarita. I ordered the Green Chile Burrito. It was very good. The green chile was flavorful without being overly spicy hot, and was just enough to help me face the I-5 again, about an hour later.
Next time I'll do here regardless of the traffic on the I-5, just to have a good meal, in a nice restaurant, with friendly people.
The amazing bartender Marcel is hands down thee best bartender/server! We truly go here at least two to three days a week just to eat some amazing food and have great drinks made by him! I’ve never been so happy to share a place to go and rate a place the way I have to for here! Thank you All for your great food and service! But thank you most of all Marcel for showing us the best care! And quality time for my husband and I to enjoy! And to share with our friends and family!
The food was hot and quick. The drinks wet and tasteful. It was a birthday gathering and you know what that means. The sombrero was proudly worn for two verses of "Happy Birthday". Thank you to all of the staff at El Toro's Mexican Restaurant for helping make our birthday dinner memorable. The food was fantastic as usual, the service even better. See you soon

The service was great and the food was really good this time.
They were really friendly and I was amazed how quickly I was served. It would make a nice lunch for anybody.
