I started with the Andros Salad, tomato, feta cheese, asparagus, roasted pepper, smoked salmon, red onion, with a homemade vinaigrette dressing, very good.
Next I had the vegetable soup, also very good. For an entrée, I had the Garidies Youvetsi ,Jumbo shrimp sautéed in olive oil, fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, sautéed onions, bell peppers, enhanced by sherry wine, Comes with a choice of orzo or vegetables. Very good.
My wife ordered chicken special Chicken Alex that wasn't on the menu but they made it for her, large breast with eggplant and spinach. She truly enjoyed it.
Prix fix menu offering with a salad, then a choice of 2 soups, entrée, dessert, and coffee.
We always enjoy coming here and have told everybody about Andros with its wonderful food superb service.

Friends wanted us to expertise this restaurant and we went on a Thursday evening. The low rating is not based on the food or value of it. Basically they do early bird complete meal all the fine even though it isn't on the menus. Whatever dish you pick it will include soup. I had the pea soup which was fine. I prefer mine to be very thick but I know that's a personal preference. A choice of two salads and I had their house salad which was very unique and delicious. The main entree, coffee or hot tea and a dessert.
The reason for the poor rating is because they always add a twenty percent tip regardless of your party size and this is not the usual. The service was worthy of the tip but I was not aware of this and added additional 20 percent making it a 42 percent tip. The receipt to sign looks like any other restaurant receipt with a total and a tip line. How would you know the already added a tip? Do the servers celebrate each time they know they were tipped twice? I have seen tips automatically added for large parties but they do it regardless of the size of the party.

With a new year celebration reservation, we were looking forward to a great meal but the menu for the night was only fish items.
The kitchen refused to make anything else for my guest and the owner allowed it.
I paid for my wine, and walked out of the restaurant going literaly right next to door, to a fabulous meal that saved and made a real New Year's Eve celebration.
Will never be back to Andros. They don't know they are in the hospitality business. There are plenty of other good choices around.

This is my favorite restaurant. Love the food, and the wonderful staff. Never had a bad meal here.
Their deserts are also great. Can’t wait to go back—soon.

Have been a regular for a few years always enjoyed our meal, went with 6 relatives on January 15, 2020, arrived at 6:45 pm only two other people in the restaurant. That should have raised a red flag but we stayed and things only got worse. All six of us disliked our entrees with my cousin especially upset when he
asked about his salad and was told that it would be an extra $8.99. Are you kidding it was a tiny salad that wasn’t worth $3.00 let alone $8.99. Our waiter finally corrected his mistake and brought my cousin his salad which was tiny and mediocre. Portions were small and not up to par. My girlfriends entree wasn’t as described on the menu, salty, inedible.
Sadly we will not be returning to Andros. At the end of the evening there was only 4 other people in the restaurant so that doesn’t say a lot about the overall aspect of Andros. Embarrassed to have brought out of town family to dinner there.

I remember this place, cheap ingredients, high prices, all coffee was decaf despite them saying it wasn't. And what's worse, underpaid staff.
Edit: I am not a former employee. This was based on an interaction from a waiteress and them being a restaurant in a neighborhood this isn't a secret. The lady manager tends to lie and scapegoat, as seen in their response.

Lamb chops were cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious. Staff were incredibly friendly and know how to make us happy. Baklava dessert ended the night perfectly. Cannot pass this place up
