Today was our first visit to The OtherDoor and we shared three tacos, two were chicken and the third was brisket. We also ordered chips and pico de gallo. The chips and pico de Gallo were really tasty and worth visiting this restaurant for these alone.
The chicken tacos were very tasty and also worth ordering g again. The brisket tacos….I would not order the brisket ever again. Coming from Texas, I’m very picky about brisket and this brisket was extremely fatty and not very flavorful at all.
The restaurant is quite small with nice outdoor seating. The area where this restaurant is located is very nice, beautiful and comfortable and I do recommend The Other Door….just not the brisket.

I wish I had taken a few more photos. Think small fun local Chipotle style, but better. Pick tacos or burritos etc.. choose your protein and toppings.
Not cheap at $15 for 3 tacos and a soda. It is downtown Lake Bluff though, so what do you expected. That rent isn’t cheap.
I am not a fan of chipotle, but my family is. I want to take them here! It is so much better.
Definitely stop in for a quick lunch. The place had a lot of people in and out so that’s a good sign too. I will be back. Not often, but when I’m in the area and want hard shell tacos this is where I will go.
I agree with the owner’s reply about the prices. Given the quality of food and cost of location, it is reasonable. Just don’t be shocked by it.

Always a great stop for a burrito or tacos! I love that they have vegetarian chorizo as an option instead of the usual tofu you see as a filling! Don't be too afraid of getting one of the spicier sauces, the flavors are great

I live in Racine & will happily drive the hour to get to this place! The food is amazing every single time! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

outdoor seating is in a great atmosphere in the summer. the food is alright, but the staff should be more energetic. couldn't hear anything they were saying and had to ask them to repeat virtually everything multiple times. couldn't get the clue that speaking louder would help. and they were asking redundant questions... I think some sdult supervision would go a long way.

Really tasty taco bowls. Can pick ingredients. Combination of all ingredients like the protein cabbage cheese Pico de Gallo peppers and onions sour cream etc with one of ten salsas is really delicious. Will return.

Traded with Hubby so I had Duck, Steak, and Barbacoa with salsa #5 (zippy, but not melt your innards hot). Amazing, complex, customizable flavor and food.

Think Chipotle, BUT BETTER! This is such a hidden gem in my mind. The food is absolutely delicious and always so fresh. The variety of toppings and extensive list of salsas/sauces to choose from makes your burrito/tacos/salad bowl different every-time (if you want to get creative). I have never had a bad experience, they always have great quality food! I visit whenever I'm near Lake Bluff.
