Food court chains are very rarely good, but the food is here is tasty and the Lemongrass chicken sandwich is addictive.
We LOVE Ba Le !!! Always fresh and very tasty. The sandwiches (with wonderful crunchy bread) , all the phos, plate dinners and desserts are beyond yummy. Great prices, great service, great food .
A rare spot in Maui for Vietnamese food!
They offer a wide menu of noodles, rice, and sandwiches.
The Vietnamese fish sauce base dipping sauce is good for rice based plate lunches.
The fish was a bit too dry.. but the shrimp was good. The pho was literally the only pho I've tried on Maui. They only have a few types of toppings probably because less demand for other Vietnamese toppings like tendon, tripe, beef balls etc. The rare beef was tender enough.
Ba-Le is a well known chain in the rest of the world.
For me Ba-Le is one of those restaurants where I have a set favorite & order the same thing every time. My go to order is always the tofu pho with veggie broth & a Thai iced tea.
Fun fact: their Thai tea has a rich tasty flavor & is one of my favorite go-to restaurants to get my Thai tea fix.
Good food, great price, huge portions, lots of vegetarian and vegan options. The person taking orders was so very nice! So genuine and friendly, it made my day better! (Receipt said name was Prinsess) Ordered some of my favorites, green papaya salad with avocado and tofu vegetable crispy fried egg noodles, it was really good as always! They are really fast, delivery available, take out, or there are some outside tables.
Wide selection of meals, we tried fried rice with shrimp and spam and fried and minced pork with rice and salad and we both really enjoyed it.
There's plenty of parking spots, enough outside seating with shade and the food comes out pretty quick.
You can grab coffee and desserts across the street.
Always love eating here. Service is quick and food is delicious. Good for calling ahead, a quick pick up, or a nice little dining spot. Staff is always nice.
The best banh mi I've ever had. Both the cheese steak and BBQ chicken were incredible.
The Ba Le Sandwich Shop Building Used To Be A Dairy Queen. In the 1956 but the Changed there name to Sweet and treats due to the Rules and 'franchise". Then in the mid 2000s DQ aka Dairy Queen shut down Closed. Now it used for The sandwich Bailey shop. That some history for ya. Fyi There food is Good
Love the food such fresh feel and taste is bomb. I had the cold noodles with garlic shrimp. And milk tea of course
The goods! Hardest part is picking what you want to eat because it’s all delicious! Prices are really good compared to everywhere else on Maui. I love this Wailuku spot. Lemongrass Chicken Sandwich is one of my favorites. Wonton bites are good too. Thai iced tea!
Excellent pho and sub spot on the island.
