suprised this place isn’t busier . the food great and the workers are pretty friendly . the nachos , steak and rice taste just like how grandpa makes it mexico 🔥🔥🔥
Stopped by for a quick bite before heading to the beach. Super tasty authentic Mexican food!! Reasonably priced menu. Friendly & speedy service! Plenty of parking in the plaza. Highly recommend this place for a quick bite on your way to the beach!!
My new favorite place for Mexican food! Amigos in Lahaina is so so - ok? But I was missing my momma and her tacos and this place really hit the spot. Super friendly staff, they even gave my puppies a yummy treat! James was awesome. The girls making the food were sweet and gave me good recommendations. I didn’t catch the name of the cashier, but he was super cool too. I read a review from some woman from Texas that said it wasn’t authentic.. so wrong. I’m Mexican and I give it two very enthusiastic thumbs up.
Thank you for the excellent tacos and awesome service! Eating gluten free with celiac while on vacation can be stressful. We loved Maui Tacos before we became allergic and were SO happy that they were willing to take care not to cross contaminate. My kids would have been sick for the rest of our vacation if you hadn't. We appreciate you!!
I'm on vacation and decided to stop in since they had vegetarian options for my friend, this has been my favorite place to eat on this trip. The salsas and food are really good and the staff is super nice. I recommend the fish tacos with the Mexicana and pineapple salsas.

I stumbled upon this place but was pleasantly surprised. The fish tacos were my favorite. I also enjoyed the BBQ and chicken tacos. The pineapple salsa was my favorite topping. Staff is friendly, dress is casual and prices were fair.
First time at this location of Maui Taco's, and it did not disappoint! (Been to the location in Kihei a few years ago). The food was outstanding, and there was lots of it. As well, they have a Happy Hour, with discounts (and they are strict on the time). As well, if you follow Maui Taco's on Instagram, you get free chips and salsa! Lots of food options with fresh ingredients, Check out the menu online! You can also get a drink here, ie beer. If you are hungry for a taco or burrito, this is the place to go, FULL STOP!
Good taco shop. It’s a great place to go for an relatively inexpensive meal in Maui compared to the resort restaurants. Unlike most Maui restaurants, Maui Tacos didn’t have a wait for a table.
You order at the counter and then sit or take your order to go. The guy at the counter was nice but seemed a bit overwhelmed.
They have a large bar area but it was empty and underutilized. Seems like they could add a few TV’s and a bartender and mood lighting and double their business. My Margarita was large and tasted good.
My tacos were good. They give you “chips” but only a handful on the plate along with your entree. Not sure why they don’t offer a bowl of chips to enjoy while your food is being made. This is how it’s done in California, other Mexican restaurants in Hawaii, and all over the US.
They have a salsa bar with about 6 salsas advertised, yet only 3 were available. All salsas are currently in very small plastic cups.

I am pleasantly surprised by Maui Tacos! I really loved the friendly environment with the employees and was impressed with the Chicken Enchiladas I ate, as well as the different Salsa's from their Salsa bar. It's an easy recommend and I feel like the price is pretty fair considering "the island premium" that everything in Hawaii seems to have. I look forward to returning here and trying more of their food!
The only critiques I have that keep it from a 5 star: The restaurant overall seems clean, and I'm pretty sure my table was clean, but the surface of it was really grippy which gave the impression that it was sticky because it was dirty. I also think there could be a bit larger of portion sizes, I could have definitely done one more enchilada with the enchilada meal. I thought the amount of chips with the chips and salsa side was a bit low as well.. All minor things that are subject to change as I make a few more frequent visits, and perhaps other entrees will be delicious enough to make me forget about them.
All in all, thank you for the wonderful food and friendly service! I will return! Mahalo!
Went here for a quick bite on vacation. Service was fast and margaritas where slightly watered down but still gave me a buzz and tasted good. I can’t give it a 3.5 but I would, however with more knowledge of the menu I would give it a 4. The cashier recommended the shrimp tacos which was delicious, and the pork was also really good. They offer a free mini self serve salsa bar which had delicious salsa.
