Very nice, unique bolognese; rich brothy, long simmered meat sauce over linguine. I'd go back just for that; nice local Italian byob.
Delicious, but service is lacking.. Well, we have been there twice in three days, so obviously, the food is great. The bread is too-die-for.The service is a bit slow when it comes to following up on the food and receiving the bill. We will be back, regardless of the slow service. The food is too good to pass up.
The BEST Italian Food -. Ok Ok. So everyone claims to have a great Italian bistro. Why Sorrento's? 28 years and they still pack em in. Family owned and run. Go off the menu for true Italian cuisine. Best yet…BYOB. Bring a $100 bottle of Opus One or a $10 box of white zin and enjoy. The best service, fun atmosphere and as close to eating at Little Italy in NYC you will ever get in PA.
My wife and I had dinner here and everything was excellent. We shared an appetizer an entree and a dessert. The sauce for the cavatelli was rich and full of flavor. And the dessert melted in our mouths. The small intimate dining room was full but the waitstaff danced around the tables with ease. BYOB
This is simply the best Italian food in the entire Philadelphia area. Have been coming here for over 30 years. Family owned and you just won’t get better Authentic Italian food.

Having driven past this place hundreds of times, my wife said “Hey why don’t we try it out”. Glad we did! I knew from the moment I walked in, seeing a small home-like dining area and many many parties waiting that the place was legit. We all got very traditional, staple meals. Baked lasagna, baked ravioli, mussels, and the Sicilian baked ziti. Everything was simply delicious. The sauce is the perfect thickness and flavor. Everything was very authentic. The wait staff, even though very busy, were never flustered or rude. Everyone was welcoming and accommodating. We will be back!
The food and service were good. The place was a little too crowded for me, to be completely comfortable, in light of the continuing pandemic.
