Went to Takis and we loved everything. Started with spinach feta pies, and saganaki (flaming cheese) with pita bread. My sister had the chicken, rice soup, and my hubby had the gyro. I loved the chicken souvlaki which had a great coating of herbs and spices. This is a great spot for lunch of dinner. They have takeout and even deliver. Check it out.
My husband and I are members of a Mazda Miata club. Many of us went today for lunch. The food was delicious. The staff were delightful. There is a very comprehensive menu which should suit all tastes. The food was well cooked and considering there was a lot of us, the food arrived in a very timely fashion. My husband ordered the large Stromboli. It was huge! Much bigger than he realized it would be. It tasted wonderful. I had the Gyro Pita very tasty and beautiful cooked. I ordered a slice of Baklava to go for later. Once I got home, I couldn't resist and ate it . I think the best I've had.
We will definitely go back. Can't wait to go again.
Love it. I am a snow bird and Takis is one of the resturants that I look forward to coming back to. I first fell in love with their greek salad that they serve before the dinner. The dinner that I like is the spaghetti, I used to love my homemade spaghetti but it does not even come close. I have recently tried there pizza, I like their pizza too. Overall Takis is one of the resturants I like to go to while I am in the central Florida area.

Delicious!. The people who work there are friendly. The food is fantastic (and I'm not usually crazy about Greek food). I particularly liked the Greek pizza- just fantastic! I'd definitely go back.
Close to the VILLAGES, but.... Don't let that influence your opinion of the traditional Greek fare. It is worth putting up with the locals to enjoy the flavors, smells and tastes seldom found in central Florida.
Be sure to try the salad!
Where?. Located in a strip mall, across from Bealls and Lowe's...Taki's is a bit hard to find. This is the owners 2nd attempt to introduce Greek food to The Villagers...and in my opinion nearly a complete success. Try the saganaki...Greek cheese cooked to a crust and served flambe with the exclamation "Opa!" absolutely yummy...if you like cheese.
Takis still makes the best traditional pizza around. Lots of Italian homemade menu items and Greek dishes. Very reasonable and fair service.
The calzone blew my mind best thing I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant and the margaritas were out of this world
A nice restaurant with great employees. Prices are competitive and portions quite generous. Their spaghetti sauce is delicious and their pizza is OK. The restaurant could use a deep cleaning and perhaps a little decor and menu updating should be considered. Looking forward to the next visit.
I've eaten here more than 20 times and have never had an issue with my food or my service. They have a great gyro and pizza. I'd like to make it for the special event when they have the belly dancer preform. If you like Greek food you won't be disappointed.
Lasagna is excellent. Hummus is homemade, delightful. And Jenny is a treat.
Really good food for a great price. We have stopped in our fist time back on February 13th for lunch. We stared with Dolmades and they where very good. The Takis tzatziki sauce is hands down one of the best I have had. I had the Greek salad for my main course and the girlfriend had the Gyro plate. Both where very good.
Our second trip was a couple weeks later. I had the fried Calamari and the girlfriend had the Quiche. Both meals where very good. The only issue was our waiter seemed to have a I don't care attitude and he did not keeping our drinks filled. To me that can ruin an dining experience and is a major pet peeve of mine.
My friend Jody and I decided to get something to eat for early dinner yesterday and stopped in at Takis at the Lady Lake location. We opted to start with the "Flaming Cheese" while contemplating what to order. As always, it was delicious. We decided to share the "meat lovers" calzone and I must say it was one of the best I have ever had. In addition, our server, Eddie, gave un excellent service! Could not ask for more!

Food was good, waited close to an hour for our entree I think someone lost our order and our waiter did not follow up and his attitude seemed not to be concerned. This has always been one of our favorite places. I hope this doesn't indicate future service there.
29 Feb 2020 First time visit, for Saturday nite dinner. The smell when you first walk in is enticing.... Garlic, meat, bread, maybe a hint of tomato sauce... Your mouth starts to water with each breath. Everyone seems happy and satisfied. The service is fast and friendly, the food is fresh and tasty. The variety is excellent, the menu has so many great Italian and Greek options. I tried some of my son's French fries... Wow, I was already stuffed from my chicken parm and spaghetti, but I overstuffed mysef with the extra fries he didn't want to eat. They are excellent! The gyro meat is tender and tasty. The only complaint if you can call it that is that the gyro platter didn't come with onions, nor enuff pita for the quantity of meat. Other than that, this may become a new favorite place! See the pics, and give me a thumbs up!
We went there for lunch today and had ribs, it was a special, and they were the most delicious ribs we have ever had, they were unbelievable scrumptuous!!!! We go there about once a week, food is delicious, no matter what you order and staff and service are awesome!!
Authentic Greek cuisine a hidden gem in Lady Lake. The saganaki is a must try, absolutely delicious, as was everything else we ordered, including the mythos (Greek beer)
