This hotel is exactly what we needed for a relaxing weekend. The rooms are clean, the amenities are robust, but the best thing about it is the staff. The service from the moment we arrived was stellar. In fact, E. Cooke at the front desk was incredibly helpful with our decision to choose this location in the future. It is centrally located to everything you need, and we will make this our primary place to stay any time we visit the greater San Diego area.

When looking at hotels this is one that is filled with caring people, in an amazing location, and made my experience in La Jolla San Diego a truly comfortable one. I was in San Diego for a conference, and they made all the anxiety of travel float away. When I arrived I was greeted at the front by staff that showed they loved San Diego and wanted to share that passion and experience. I didn't have much of a plan outside of work for my stay, and I asked Briana of things that would make my time in San Diego a memorable one. With a radiance that I have found comforting, she shared about great walks that I could take to soak in the sites , catching the perfect sunset at the end. I would not have come across it without her suggestions. The bar was the perfect place for a night cap at the end of my adventure. This hotel and their staff helped turn my trip from a business experience to one I will cherish. Thank you Briana and Marriott La Jolla for adding additional value to my time in SD

this is an old marriott for sure, but everything is surprisingly ok. I would say the lounge can be better, but for a 50-year old Marriott I've definitely seen worse. Service is very warm and at the same time professional. Location is wonderful. Price is not bad either. a great choice for doing business in SD

Overall a good place. Everything is an extra fee. Wifi extra. Parking extra. Food and coffee is okay, but nothing special. Don't take the stairs. For some reason they lock the doors on the lower floors so you can't get out. The views are great. Overall a decent place, if they get free wifi and better food and coffee this is easily an A+ place to stay.

The staff are absolutely the best. Aby and Alison bring life to the lobby area and everyone is very respectful. Located beautifully right next to a few amazing restaurants as well like Regents Pizzeria. If I am in the San Diego area I know where I am staying!

As a lifetime Platinum and a Titanium Bonvoy member, I can say that this was a decent hotel, but it was not the better of the Marriott Hotel Brand hotels in the USA. The room was missing the in-room safe, which I think was a first among this hotel brand. The room was missing some in-room convenience items (e.g., mouth wash, shower cap, cotton swabs, show polisher, ...). Perhaps the hotel is due for a renovation. The parking fee seemed relatively higher, also. The lady at the registration was a bit obtuse with me for some reason. The executive lounge had good food, though limited in variety. Perhaps I will seek another option next time I come to this area...

Great service in a very pleasantly-decorated space. The restaurant downstairs, Fresh, offers a PERFECT American breakfasts: crispy bacon, eggs done exactly your way, hash browns, toast, and multiple hot sauces to choose from. Every employee is invested in making your experience enjoyable. A perfect location to visit UCSD from, next to the Westfield UTC a beautiful outdoor mall, and connected through the San Diego MTS, a clean and safe public transportation option.

I have stayed here a couple of times when I visited San Diego for work. The hotel itself is a very typical Marriott from the 2000s. The room is clean but outdated, especially the bathroom. If you don't mind old stuff, it would be ok. The outside area of the bar can be cool. It is also nice to have Uber Eats delivered to the hotel.

Richard Uribe, the GM of this hotel is a top notch professional and human being. Enough said. Thanks for your help and compassion, Richard!
