Very convenient spot to have a quick lunch. The store is not big and quite, it’s nice to be here to hangout, chat and talk stuff. The food here is fine, not amazing, but not bad. I ordered a teriyaki salmon bento box, it comes with a small bowl of Miso soup, salad, small portion tempura, four pieces sushi roll, a piece of teriyaki salmon and white rice. The bento box has right amount of food for one person. If you like bento box, this place is not a bad choice.
The food was fresh and good. I started eating the cucumber salad before I took the picture, so you get a lot more than what's in the picture. Oops. The price is very reasonable. No wait, we just walked in. Service was really good. Places to sit inside only., No patio.
We came for a late lunch and it was pretty empty. They came to serve us quite quickly. :)
We ordered:
- bulgogi bento box: 4/5, the fried vegetables were crunchy, the miso soup was delicious, the california roll sushi was okay, and beef bulgogi was a bit too sweet
- the tempura udon: 4/5, the noodle was cooked just perfectly soft and chewy, the broth was similar to a shiitake soup
- the Tamago nigiri: 3/5, i like my sushi room temperature. the nigiri was very cold as if it just came out of the freezer. not my personal favorite.
- the Rocking shrimp tempura roll: 3/5, the insides were falling apart. it wasn't as crunchy as I had expected. it just didn't seem very fresh.
Overall, the food was okay. Everything was inexpensive.
This is my go to quick Japanese restaurant in Mira Mesa. There is never a long wait and the food is quick and delicious. I usually get a bento box dinner since it comes with miso soup. Other favourites are the vegetable tempura, hand rolls, and the udon. Highly recommend if you need a quick meal in the area and are craving some Japanese food. This time I got the teriyaki salmon dinner bento box.
The rolls are delicious and creative! We were hooked after our first visit. My favorite menu item so far is the veggie tales roll, which is topped with almond slices 😍 Everything is reasonably priced and the service is warm and friendly. Go go is a must-try!
This place doesn't seem like much once you walk in but the food is absolutely tasteful. The service is a little slow but once you are served, they are very attentive. I recommend their ramen, soups and bulgogi sushi roll. Definitely coming back.
I was starving after my doctor appointment so I stopped by here to grab bites. I ordered the Miso Ramen Noodle Soup (Medium spicy) and Red Dragon Sushi. Very fast service and outstanding taste! This place is super clean and quiet to enjoy the meals. Thanks and will be back for more..
Food was great! Cool fusion between Japanese & Korean cuisine. We got the Bulgogi Roll & the Spicy Chicken Curry; not pictured here was the Bulgogi Bento Box. Portions were large. Prices were fair. Took a star off because food/drinks took a while to come. Definitely coming back though, they have good deals for all-you-can-eat sushi & for Happy Hour.
Absolutely love the fact they have several vegetarian options! The Mr potato Head rolls are great but the Veggie Tail roll was phenomenal it has a lovely balance of sweet and savory and a surprising texture due to the sliced almonds they use as garnish.
The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars just because the Veggie Ramen made with a mushroom broth intended for vegetarians was rather bland and tasteless if one didn't choose a spicy level and adding soy sauce to it just made it worse. For a place with ramen in the title it was really disappointing.
I always like eating here. I usually order to go though. Food is always great. Seating inside can quickly become limited if they're busy but the service is always good.
