I had a lovely experience in Costa Azul Mariscos. I ordered the mixed combination which had a lovely variety of fresh shrimp, octopus, fish and other vegetables with an amazing flavor and good agua de horchata. They also serve warm and crispy chips and salsa. The gentleman preparing the food was very polite, hospitable and made sure everything was to my tasting and comfort, I highly recommend this establishment for some good seafood.
Today we biked from Coronado Island to Downtown San Diego, and along the way it was time for lunch. We found this little hidden gem. The food and the service were great.
Very friendly. Lady here is a sweetheart. Had a Campechana and though the ingredients differ from my own recipe, it was still great. The shrimp were nice size and the cilantro, onions, pepino...all tasted crisp and fresh. I will be back to try other items from the menu. The fresh fried tortilla chips were warm and delicious...and their salsa is 8 out of 10 for flavor, with just the perfect amount of spice. Hope to be working in the area again soon.
I just moved from Texas to Cali and I saw this place while I was getting my phone fixed. I saw they had aguaschiles! And I bought them! They tasted great!! Gonna try their Mexican food next time, will be back again soon!
If you want your food cooked fresh and right come here!!! I had the most tender shrimp tacos and aguachile. So good! I will DEFINITELY be back to try the shrimp mole!!! OMG
Wife and I ordered the chicken quesadilla and a couple beers while waiting for our car to be fixed at the jiffy lube across the street. We were super surprised at how good it was! Great flavor and about $15/20 total. Food was $13 and $2/3 for each beer.
This place is a hidden gem. I've been coming here for 20 years and the food is fantastic. It's flavorful and very well cooked. The service here is amazing as well; they treat you like family and gives you a homey feel. There's no other place in San Diego that serves authentic and fresh Mexican food and seafood like Costa Azul Mariscos. I recommend this place to anyone who comes around Imperial Beach!
This place is so great. The old man is a sweetheart and the food just made me feel like I was at home. Not to mention the portion size is pretty big so u will get full. 😁 definitely coming back.
Hands down the most amazing seafood/mexican restaurant in San Diego. The fish tacos here are to die for. The salsa is a little spicy so if you’re not a fan of hot foods I do not recommend. Everything tastes perfectly.
The fish taco was heavenly. Perfect battered fish and tangy lime sauce. Big portions. Fresh food.- even a bit too hot( tempurature). Very Friendly service.
