Restaurant Villa Del Mar

Food is quite yummy. Their bacon breakfast burritos are delicious, as well as their carne asada burritos. They are VERY generous with onions, sort of overkill, to be honest. Fast service and good portions. Pictured is a pastor burrito.. had to open and remove what seemed like a never-ending mountain of onions. Smh.

This food was exceptionally good. My breakfast burrito that was evenly proportioned egg potato and bacon. My girlfriend got a taco salad that was really good and the kids got tacos that were super good. The taco salad crust was great my girlfriend can't eat it so I did. The waitress was in a good mood seemed to love her job and smiled a lot and even offered to take our picture for us. We are just tourist so we won't be back but I recommend trying this place.

One word, WOW! Not only did the food taste great the portions were huge. Put that with polite, laid back, and friendly service and you have a winner. The Smothered Carne Asada burrito is great. The steak meat is tender and flavorful and was loaded with guacamole. As a combo plate with beans and rice on the side were a good compliment. Shrimp ceviche was delicious, mixed with tomatoes, cilantro, onion and seasonings, damn it was good. The Tortillas were fresh and hot. We ordered a Carne Asada Chimicanga as well, same meat as in the burrito, again very good. Three of us could not finish our meals, we should have shared.

I came into town from the airport for business trip. Adams Avenue was so busy so I stopped by here for bite. There wasn't much of a weight because only one or two tables were filled. Mainly seems to be a takeaway spot. I got a burrito with shrimp and pork. I was a little too greasy for me but otherwise it was tasty. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

I got the Daily Special, which on Sunday were the fajitas (choice of chicken, steak, or shrimp). Let’s just say the amount you get for $12 is beyond economical, with guac, pico, refried beans, green ice, a large flour tortilla, two salsas, and a bowl of chips. Not only was there a lot of food, it was made fresh and tasted absolutely wonderful. I will be visiting often and will tell others to visit.

Tried a California burrito: Solid size for the price. Lot of meat, good potato. Wish it had a bit more pico de Gallo but honestly it was a solid one, next time I’ll just ask for it to be added. They have jarritos for a fair price. The red salsa was pretty good, the green wasn’t as impressive but still fine. Definitely would return.
