I ordered the Cooper’s Flatbread and it was really good. However, they messed up the rest of our order. The place is cute and the atmosphere is nice but you have to be lucky to get something good. The waitress compensated at least by paying back some of the order. Overall fancy but not as good as it looks.
Very friendly staff. I think the name is changed. It’s now The Corner Mercantile and Eatery. Great coffee and pastries from across the globe.
Cooper's Market & Cafe gets two thumbs up, and then some. The food is superb, the staff are professional, and the friendly owner makes it all work. Our family ate there in late July (most of us were out-of-town-first-timers) and we loved the experience. I had the BEST BLT ever! And, as importantly, the bathroom was clean and beautifully designed. Kudos to Cooper's Market & Cafe. It's a must-stop when visiting LaJolla.
Love this place! I live nearby and have been fortunate to run to the market when I found I was missed an important ingredient in a recipe....eggs, sugar, and even delicious coffee brought in from little Italy.
Also, really enjoyed sitting outside with the an order of flat bread and a crisp glass of wine while people watching. It is great for locals and tourists alike.
Great smells coming from this place, I only got a regular coffee with steamed almond milk before a surf sesh at Scipps, but definitely going to explore this place more now that I know they’ve got great coffee and some delicious smells coming from their kitchen. Friendly staff at 7 am too! I was too sleepy to remember the guys name who made my coffee but he even double cupped my coffee so I didn’t burn my hands since the coffee was so hot....and fresh! Definitely would recommend!
Cooper's sells the only palatable coffee in the Shores area. If tasty coffee is a concern of yours, you simply have no other options. As if that weren't enough, the food has been great, and the service has been a joy.
This said, the espresso drinks could not be worse. Even ordering plain espresso resulted in lemony sour drink.
What a great find in La Jolla Shores! Whether you are looking for gourmet coffee (James Coffee) or a healthy breakfast or a stuffed sandwich, this is the place to get your meal! Sandwiches are made on fresh bread and packed with meats, cheese, veggies. New owner, Lisa Kennedy is SO personable and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable. I haven't been back yet to try their new menu but will get there ASAP!
Lisa knows that customer service is more than selling food. It's an experience of which the memories will live on in the minds of the guests. Thank you for providing me and my family with a visit worth remembering.. and the banana muffin!
I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Staff is friendly & personable, food is amazing, coffee is amazing. We literally hung out for hours and talked to our neighbors and people who were on vacation. Big neighborhood upgrade.
Fresh and made to order healthy food. Broiled bagels from N.Y. and Croissants from France. Featuring grab and go beach fare, as well as many local secrets. Also best Acai bowl this side of the boarder!
