I'm very fun and quirky place. If you like rugby, I think this is the place. World cup of rugby was playing when I arrived and there was an audience fully enjoying it. Fun!
I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and very attentive. Paid attention to my drink needs as well as my food requirements.
I did notice there were pouring a lot of Guinness Stout that day. I don't know if this is regular but it was very tempting to have one, but I opted for something a bit lighter.
The chicken wings that I had were excellent. Just what I was after. That said, I did order the calamari to start and it was a bit fishy so I ended up sending that back. They didn't complain and we're very professional about my new replacement order.
Overall, this is a fun place with several different seating and lounging areas. Definitely give it a try if you're looking for an Irish pub.
Keep in mind parking can be a bit of a challenge there and the pay lots are expensive.
First time visiting. Everyone was welcoming when walking in. Received excellent service from Austin and even the manager stopped by to check on us a couple times. Another customer walked in with a dog, and without being prompted, Austin brought the dog his own water bowel with ice cubes. Great service. Great food. Great Tuesday burger special, buy one, get one. We will definitely be back, probably next Tuesday :)
Typical Irish joint...
The best pub in your network! If you could go to a better place for stellar happy hour and game time specials in addition to your definitive true Irish pub vibe (on their best day), you would. So come here and figure things out; like the convincing functional drunk that you may or may not be.
Delicious Food , Great Service, Entertainment was on point, perfect for the whole family including your Fur babies.
You can either watch their TVs in the bar area, hang out under the patio, or sit in the front with your Pup while listening to local musicians.
We will make this place a go to, the food was flavorful and a big amount. Our Pup had a hamburger patty and he is picky, but he devoured it. We tried a appetizer called ‘Irish Nachos’ , that was different in a yummy way. Good variety of drinks and food.
Take the time and check it out.
Good place for Happy Hour. Close to work. Easy street parking this day. Staff are responsive. The street shrimp tacos are the bomb. I ate em all before I realized I hadn't taken a pic
We absolutely loved it! The atmosphere, the bartenders, the people and of course the cold beer were just awesome !!!! Had a wonderful time! Will be going back for sure!
As someone who lived in SF and been the the Buena Vista many times. They did a great irish coffee! We will be back
Cool little bar with live music on the weekends. I've only been here once but the waiter staff were very friendly and prompt with the service. Was also a cool little spot to sit around the fire pit and enjoy whatever sport is on TV. Will definitely back out for a nice laid back night with good atmosphere.
First time there, fous the place by accident walking back to to our car. I ordered Sheppard's pie, my husband had a hamburger. We had calamari for appetizer and brownie for dessert. The food was delicious and staff friendly and prompt. I will definitely come back next time I'm in La Jolla. We were there participating at the LA Jolla Half Marathon.
Late night pit stop after arriving into San Diego that day.
Decided on the nachos
I can't believe I ate the whole thing. 🙄
Always nice sitting by the fire pit and enjoying the CA weather.
Great place for a drink and bar foods.
Great service
A solid 4
And recommended of course.
