We went with an expired Travelzoo not knowing Hilton had taken over management. The server insisted on checking with the manager who gave us a discount on our brunch, completely unexpected! The service was exceptional and friendly, not always a given in nice restaurants, often one or the other. The food was great and the view spectacular, felt like I was on vacation! Even in the ladies' room, the window was open so a beautiful ocean breeze flowed. We will be back with others since it's centrally located for this North County family.

what a great view!!! that alone is worth it. the blood orange margarita was outstanding. striped bass was good, a little overcooked but good. pizzas are good, loved the side of Roasted carrots with goat cheese and plentiful. live music through out early evening till closing. Singer was very personable and fun. restaurant on top floor of hotel facing ocean views. check out the views from the ladies room (so I'm told)

Brunch here was very nice. * The view over looks La Jolla from inside the hotel. The staff provided great service and were very attentive. Blooy Mary's, Mimosa's, and the Salmon Bendict were filling and very good. Overall, it is a cozy and quaint restaurant to enjoy

This restaurant is a fantastic hidden gem on the 11th floor of the hotel. Food and drinks were very good and the service was great. I recommend the honey garlic pizza (sounds weird but you won't regret it!), the Margherita pizza, and the breakfast Avocado toast. The socal mule amd the blood orange spicy Margarita were my favorite drinks.

Best French toast I’ve ever had!!! My husband and I met up with friends at this spot in La Jolla, and boy was it a pleasant surprise! We were unsure of how tasty it would be being inside of a hotel…but hands down the French toast was literally out of this world. We loved the scenic views, the friendly wait staff, and the tasty food.

Anniversary dinner. Made reservations. Amazing view, service, food. Each of us had a cocktail. Also had the ceviche (with sweet potatoes, so unexpected and so good) and heirloom tomatoes for appetizers. Did a fish dish ( sea bass) and rib eye dinner (surf and turf). Both cooked to perfection and the accompanied veggies and sauces gave layers of flavor to the meal. Perfect date night spot. Very impressive.

This place is absolutely amazing! We’ve now been here a couple times and I actually proposed to my now fiancé tonight. (Don’t worry, she said yes) The staff was far above and beyond what you would expect from a restaurant and they honestly treated the entire experience as seriously as I was taking it. Obviously, the view here is unmatchable and the food is always top notch. I plan to return for many years to come. Can’t recommend this place enough especially for romantic dinner. 💜

I was raised in La Jolla so when I decided to visit town from Los Angeles to see some old friends we decided on Cusp due to the fact it has amazing food, unbeatable views, and is a hidden gem in my opinion. I have been here many times over the years and every time I have a great meal. I always order the fish entrée as it’s always cooked perfectly, but every other thing I have seen ordered also gets great reviews. They are currently doing work on the façade of the front so the views are a little obstructed by construction equipment but still La Jolla is beautiful enough it makes up for it. Our server was also very polite and attentive and was quick with the refills. I started off with the baby beet salad and really enjoyed it. It was light and a great start to the meal. The whipped goat cheese on the bottom was definitely my favorite part. For my entrée I chose the fish of the day which was a Seabass. Seabass is my personal favorite fish and I was glad to see that this one is cooked well and tasted delicious. This is a true hidden gem to me because most diners go toward the Cove area of La Jolla rather than the Shores so this would make a wonderful date or casual dinner option. It’s a bit small for a work dinner but aside from that I am comfortable recommending it to anyone for any occasion. They offer valet parking for the hotel, but there is a ton of street parking next to it so the parking side of things will be easy.

Cusp Restaurant was everything we could have asked for as an in house hotel restaurant. We started off our dining experience with their crispy octopus. It was perfectly done. Which we know can easily be over cooked, we wish we would have taken a picture of it but completely forgot. Thursday they have a filet $30 special which was a melt in your mouth dish. We returned for breakfast a few other times and highly recommend everything they have on they menu. We noticed during our visits that they make everything with thought and they make everything wonderfully. The service is out of this world. Plus, the sunset views are outstanding. I highly recommend coming for dinner during sunset or for their brunch with bottomless mimosas.
