Wonderful light dinner before our movie date; my husband and I shared appetizers and a small plate. The lamb tartar was perfect, cream of celery soup was creamy and light- almost whipped and very tasty and the seared scallops were prepared just right! Service was excellent and the patio comfortable. I could easily become a regular!
Every single time I take my family there we love it: the food is delicious and everyone finds something they love, the staff is attentive and caring ! Desserts and cocktails are to die for! Highly recommend it!
This place made us the best fish tacos we have had in the last week. Our waitress was adamant they were excellent and she was right. Which is helpful, as sometimes people say things are good and they aren’t! In general this is a really Nice place, good for food, good for people watching and good for hanging and drinking beer. Very nice. Lucky locals having it on their doorstep!
I had an amazing breakfast/brunch here with a friend while visiting La Jolla. Got the hot chicken, which was just spicy, savory deliciousness. The pancakes were tasty (I had a couple of bites). Also, a fantastic Bloody Mary. Service was on point, location is great. 100% recommend and would love to visit again!!
Great breakfast spot!
I’d highly recommend it and for sure I’ll come back here again!
We had:
1- chaquiela 10/10
2- fried chicken 10/10
3- pancakes 7/10 (they’d have been great if the berries were less)
Excellent spot for brunch any day of the week! Biscuits are amazing, steak perfect and the French toast might be the best ive ever had!
Only thing to watch out for is that they use a lot of salt and butter so if your ticket can't handle.it, make aure to let them know.
Highly recommended and we will be going back again soon!!!
We have had the best chicken sandwich of our lives here! The restaurant is well located close to the beach. The bartender was very kind and gave us a lot of great recommendations what to do and see in San Diego. We have had a great time here and definitely will come back soon. Martin & Kristina
The French toast is absolutely a big hit, with such a large size and thickness. It’s warm and sweet. Definitely love it for brunch.
Love the avocado toast too!
Absolutely wonderful service. Waiters/waitresses were attentive and patient. The food was delicious! Location is also great, right in La Jolla so many things to do after eating. I'll definitely be back!

I had dinner here. The ambience is really nice. I had the Oaxaca Gut Check to drink. It had a smokey taste that I liked a lot. I started dinner with the flat bread which was chosen by the chef...it was very tastey. For dinner I had the flat iron steak. It came with mushrooms which added a distinct flavor. I also tasted the sea scallops which were cooked perfectly. The sweet potato cream it came with was soooooo good. For dessert I had the butterscotch budino which I highly recommend. The service was impeccable as well. You can find parking on the street. We got there at night and parking was free.
So first of all, we were late, by about two minutes for our reservation. We had been having a libation up the street with my Girlfriend's brother in some pre-game to date night action as well as catching up.
We end up having to wait about 15 minutes which was not a bad thing as I needed relief at the W.C. There was a nice queue going, this fellow in a blue suit was sporting black wing tips, I like another man with style as I was sporting some in the shade of chili. Went back outside and snapped some photos, noticing on the posted menu that they would be executing a surcharge of 3.75% across your check rather than just increasing their prices...guyz, that's increasing your prices just at an easier rate! We end up getting sat, our server Kirsten was awesome! She brought an attitude of high hospitality. She did everything. We ordered the Daz Beast and Tree Life for cocktails, and with them came some bread. Following their arrival we ordered to split the pork loin with fingerling potatoes.
All of a sudden a busser comes up with a Feta cheese flatbread, waving it off because I didn't order it, the manager then comes up says, "No, it's on us for making you wait." Well they just endeared themselves to me as if the cocktails didn't taste perfect.
Our pork loin arrives and the mustard and rub together left me wondering if I'd been lost in a sea of despair and had been fished out. Best pork dish I've ever had, and quite possibly in my top five of dining experiences.
To follow the pork loin we were given a glance at the dessert menu and the choice was made for me when it read: "chocolate and peanut butter cake with vanilla gelato." You've got to be kidding me...they pretty much hit my whole palate up with a dopamine and endorphin shot that would las through the morning.
A++++ food. Was amazing! Filet and squid ink with shrimp pasta were both fantastic! Cocktails were also really good. Recommend the Oaxacan firing squad! Service was very attentive and friendly. Will be returning! Can’t wait to try more!
