This is one of our all-time favorite restaurants. We've been eating here for over 27 years. We don't even need to say what we want, they know our order. The dishes with peanut sauce are to die for. We like their house salad with tofu and hold the onions. It's fresh, leafy, with tomato and cucumber, and it's one of the few times my kids actually *like* to eat salad due to the tasty peanut dressing. Our favorite entree is Panang - it's a red curry. My hubby is vegetarian so we get it with wheat gluten and it's absolutely delicious. My kids really like the Pad See Ew (stir fried rice noodles with broccoli and egg). Again, it's hard to get my kids to eat broccoli but they love it in this dish. My oldest son eats meat and recently had the Sizzling Beef and raved about it. We always order with steamed brown rice and Thai Iced Tea all around. It's a bit pricey but so worth it for a lovely dinner out. The staff are super nice, the setting is serene. Plenty of parking in the back and also sometimes right on the street. We've eaten at several other Thai restaurants, but none compare to Min's. I think it is because their sauces are made nice and thick, and they pay attention to details in the kitchen to get the flavors just right. We've eaten here hundreds of times and it never gets old (despite usually ordering the same meal) and we've never, ever had a bad meal.
Delicious family neighborhood restaurant! I love the Thai beef salad and the friendly atmosphere- a regular place for sure!
7 out of 10. I liked my curry, but my wife was underwhelmed by the Pad Thai. There is lots of good Thai around, dominated by Saladang in Pasadena, so even a small misstep can be a killer around here. On the plus side, this place is all about family. The owner was around to check on us and was honestly distressed that the noodles were not great. I prefer Thai that is more focused on seafood than this restaurant, but if you want good food and nice atmosphere in a convenient location, then you could do worse than Min's, much worse. It is unfortunately a 7/10 in a neighborhood that is only slightly closer than 8s, 9s and 10s.
I've been going here since I was a kid! It's family owned and they love La Canada beig residents themselves! Awesome food! Never have had a bad meal here! The young coconut curry is amazing! The food always looks good and tastes better! Try the steamed sprig rolls and pineapple frie rice!
Been going there since I was 7. So my great grandmother took us there when I was 7 and we have been going back ever since. A family wedding has even been catered by them for the dinner. Toi the owner has seen us grow up and was even in a cast on the same arm when I was as well, we are all more then adults now... and to this day we come in , get our round of hugs and kisses and never have to open a menu.
We get a large round of thai iced teas, satay, each of our own sizzling beef and the mango sticky rice for dessert. never fails, never fails.
I will forever go to this place, I even know live more then 50 miles away from it but I will come down to see my family and all of us go to dinner there. It's never any question when people come to town where we are going. It will break my heart if this place ever changes, stops serving, changes it's menu or goes away.
Cjanebuy. Excellent Thai food. Even the water there is especially good (Toi, the owner, tells us it's filtered). Our favorite dishes to date are the Sizzling Beef and the Lemon Prawns. So good that we often stick to ordering our favorites and haven't investigated further on the menu.
They have been open 45 years in LA Canada.
Sublime Thai food.
Large Selection.
Chill space.
The employees and owner all lovely and extremely hospitable.
Win, win 🏆all the way around!!!

I have been a friend of this restaurant since the 80s, my first introduction to Angel wings! I just wanted the family that I made it to Chiang Mai. 3 years now. Thanks
AMAZING A+++++ I have friends in S.F. that make homemade Tai Food and MIN'S KITCHEN is the same. There's a real difference between "standard good restaurant Tai" and Good Homemade Tai. We ordered the sweet and sour beef, Pad Tai, chicken and Pineapple Fried Rice. Super-Perfect !!!!!!!
I LOVE Min's Kitchen
---and also JITLADA Hollywood, for my Dear friend JAZZ.
I'm posting pictures of her menu here because it was hard for me to find a full menu online.
I cannot say enough about this restaurant and their staff. They were very attentive, the food was delicious, fresh, hot, fast - it's quite far from me (an hour) but i will be back. So good!
We think this is one of LA’s best Tai food restaurant. Amazing.
Very friendly staff. Food was wonderful. Perfect amount of spice & seasonings. My daughter felt like we were eating in someone's home. We will happily dine here again soon.
I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to get to Min's Kitchen but I can tell you honestly that I'll be back over and over again! The food was outstanding and the staff were very nice. We took a family sized order to go and ate at home but the restaurant was full and everyone seemed very happy. The food was AMAZING! We'll be back!
