The ice cream is good but the service gets really slow at night. Additionally it's kind of pricey for ice cream.
Best desserts in town. If you want to visit an old fashioned malt shoppe, go visit Pop's Malt shoppe. The ice cream taste great no sandy texture like another ice cream stand in the next town. The staff is extremely friendly and don't push you out the door after you just ordered because they want to leave a few minutes early like at the other place. It is worth it to drive the extra 5 miles to visit Pop's. The only downsite is Pop's closes over the winter, for an ice cream lover that part stinks.
Love the atmosphere here, has that 50's and 60's feel to it. Only get to here a couple times a year. I'm a diabetic and they have way too much ice cream to be tempted by. Food is always good, my last trip in I had a chicken sandwich with fries and a drink prices around $14 kind of average today can't even do much better at McDonald's anymore. I gave this place a high rating because the food is good and the prices were reasonable and the decor bring back many fond memories. Would recommend this to anyone, teenagers, and families. They have something for everybody.
Pops is a true old time malt shop. A throw back to the 1950s.. including the music! Such a charming place. They have so many different flavors its hard to choose. And then they have all kinds of sundaes, shakes and even frozen yogurt!! The workers there are always friendly!! Definitely an ice cream lovers paradise!!
Nice stop on our drive. Food and ice cream. 50 style. Hot dog was good but roll was stale for bbq sandwich. Great ice cream 🍨👌
Despite some claims, the service at Pop’s is stellar and the food is great. Definitely a good place to stop if you’re passing through, not to mention a townie favorite. Their shakes and mac ‘n cheese bites are both absolutely to die for, and the mac ‘n cheese burger is spectacular too. Keep at it, Pop’s!
Ice Cream really is good. You get what you need. It gets incredibly crowded fast so offset your arrival. The food itself is passible for the atmosphere but undoubtedly seems cheaper than what they're charging. But, hard to find a great grilled mac n cheese cheese in the middle of nowhere, otherwise.
We come here often and I really like the place. The staff are always friendly, prices are decent, ice cream is great. Super cute.
