Papa Johns Pizza

I order from here about once a week and the quality is very hit or miss. Usually the pizza is good but there have been several occasions that it's been overcooked, cold, or the wrong cheese has been used. I understand that it's hard to retain employees currently so I try to cut them slack and tip the driver's a decent amount.

Hands down the worst pizza's I have ever hand from Papa John's. My whole household had a few pizzas last night and it tasted like frozen pizza. I don't know if it was all old ingredients or if this was how it really taste now, but everyone in my household said to never order papa john's again. I get the chills just thinking about it while I'm writing this. yuck!

I wish I had remembered to get a picture of our order(two large one "the works with stuffed crust the other "the meats" regular crust). I was SO DISAPPOINTED and probably won't get pizza here again. We ordered by phone and it was just coming out of the oven as we walked in the door. So I can say service was great. The pizzas were not. I worked for Papa John's for 7 years as a delivery driver and the pizza that I delivered were so much better than what is made now. Crusts used to be hand tossed and toppings generously covered the dough to almost the edge(maybe leaving not much more than an inch). Now it is more like 2" of bread exposed all the way around and the dough obviously run through a machine. On the "works" I requested the sausage to be on only half , it covered the entire surface. The flavors were the same but the amount of the toppings was much less than you would have gotten before.. Both appeared to be undercooked as the crust (and there was a lot of crust) looked barely toasted. The regular crust seemed much thicker than I remember Again probably because of it being machine made. Sometimes trading for speed doesn't always make the best choice.

Had a tough night, just ordered some pizza because I was burnt out. Everyone there deserves a raise. Told it would be an hour and delivered in like 30 minutes. Wings were thicc and juicy. Pizza was the best I've ever had there. They gave me EXTRA peppers. My delivery driver, Seth, had the sickest mustache ever. It had the curled ends and everything. He was super nice. Just over all super impressed, especially since this is a college location and they be having a lot of orders. I hope they all end up millionaires.

This store says it closes at 1:00am online but When I went there at 12:46am, they wouldn’t let me in and signed through the windows that they were closed. Their open sign was also still on. I hate to be that guy that comes in before closing but if you’re gonna close early then at least change the time online to 12:45am or something. I credit this to lazy college staff that wanna get out early. Bad business in my opinion. They still have good pizza though.
