Update: Today my family and I brought a friend here for lunch. We legit waited entirely too long for our food...like 2 hours! If the conversation hadn't been so good I probably would have left. When our food did come out only 2 out of the 6 of us were served. After waiting a bit for the other meals, we asked the waiter about the other meals relaying that we'd been there 2 hours. One of the green tea cups had lipstick on it! The food was still delicious, but the service was not even close to optimal. I understand being understaffed, but other tables around us were served and leaving and we were just sitting with beverages forever. I'm hoping this was an off day, gosh it was not optimal. 01/23/22
I'm in love with this restaurant, it's delicious!! The list of sushi is large! Everything I tried was delicious! If you've not tried Anaba, you should! The staff was friendly and attentive. The bathrooms are clean. I'll be dreaming about my sushi until I come back, which we'll be doing!
This place has gone through a few changes over the years. It used to be a Greek restaurant, and then changed hands and became Japanese/Greek fusion. It now is solely Japanese fare, but nonetheless the quality continues to be top-tier.
Really great, affordable lunch specials, and amazing entrees for dinner. The location is cozy and not crowded, and the service is quick. I would highly recommend this place.

It was my first time to visit this place. The food are amazing! I really recommended this place. We got “Agedashi” deep fried tofu with a dashi soup. I love it.
We got the Shrimp Tempuras. This also perfect taste and crispy. Love it!
We got katsu curry chicken. The chicken are a bit burn and hard to eat, but the curry is good, but i don’t think we like it.
Last two dishes are my favorite.
You guys should try the Smoky Mountain. I love it. This dish is very delicious with salmon, tuna, shrimp, smelt roe, and tempura flakes. 🥰🥰🎊
And the Happy Tummy, the crispy shrimps are tasty. It is a bit sweet because of the sauce, but i am ok with that. 👍
We had the Mediterranean Ramen, the katsu bowl, and double dynamite roll. It was the most authentic Japanese place I have ever visited in TN. The food was delicious and well priced. We will definitely be going back more!
The food here is always superb. I really appreciate the consistent quality of both the food and the service. It's one of my favorite places to eat and to bring people when they visit.
This was an edit to my original review. The owners are very kind and sent me a gift card to make up for this misunderstanding. The ramen is seriously beyond delicious and will be back again!

Honestly I was pretty disappointed in this place. I’ve heard good things and was excited to try it. Service was very nice which is really the only reason I’m not giving it 3 stars. The appetizer and sushi were pretty good but the Tonkatsu ramen was the worst I’ve ever had. The ingredients were odd and the broth was thin and completely lacking the tonkatsu ramen flavor. Maybe one day we’ll come back and try some other dishes but I kind of doubt it.
Food was delicious! New go to sushi spot. Best sushi I've had in Knoxville.
Happy roll has tons of shrimp on top which is delectable.
Server could've been better, didn't get refills and only saw him when bringing us our food and when wet finished.
