Bob's Clam Hut

So glad we stopped here on way home!!!! So Delicious!! Ordered Pint of Fried Clam Bellies (Bob's style), Pint of Fried Calamari, Side Fries, Bowl of Clam Chowder, Hamburger with Fries, 2 sodas & a Whoopie Pie = a little over $111.00 The batter for clams and calamari was perfect! Crunchy, tasty, not too greasy. This was my husband's 3rd time trying fried Clam Bellies. While he thinks these were the best ones he tried, he realizes he prefers Clam Strips over the Bellies. The Fried fresh Bellies seem to have a hint of sea salt water / ocean taste to them. Not fishy but just a slight taste of the ocean. I on the other hand thought it was amazing!! My Clam chowder had lots of clam and potatoes in them. Employees very nice and helpful in placing my order since I was indecisive because I wanted to order everything! Plenty of inside and outside seating. Sat outside under an umbrella table to enjoy the nice weather. If you're in the area, you must include this in your stop. Literally the Best sea food we had in Maine during our stay here.

I enjoyed my first lobster roll ever here. It was perfectly fresh and delicious. I feel like if you ever going to visit Maine you should make it a point to have some lobster and if you're going to have some lobster head to Bob's. I would recommend anyone in the area that is a fan of seafood to stop in. The beer was also great.

Very disappointed the gluten free options have been removed. My family and extended family used to come here all the time multiple times a year summer and winter, because one of the only places that offers gluten free seafood ( clams and fish). But now none of us can go because there is no gluten free for those of us that are gluten free. I would really like to know if the gluten free options will be returned to the menu, it would make many many people and families happy- more than you realize.

My partner had the scallop roll and I had the whole (with bellies) clam roll. We both agree best we've had in a long time. Usually have one or the other a dozen times or more each summer when vacationing in NH and ME so that is saying a lot. Fast and friendly service. Plenty of parking and easily accessible for patrons in wheelchairs. Prices in line with other similar clam shacks.

Looking for lunch as we entered Kittery, we saw that Bob’s Clam Hut had great reviews and decided to stop in. We had no idea when we walked in that Bob’s had been featured on Diners, Drive-In’s, and Dives, so that was a bonus! My parents each had a hot lobster roll, and I had the clam cakes. Overall the lobster rolls were good, but could’ve used more butter, and the bread was a bit soggy. My clam cakes were good, but I did feel like they needed something. Fries needed some salt, but I was glad they weren’t too oily. The star for me was the clam chowder. Bob’s is a cute spot, and I can just tell it’s really popular in the summer. Glad we checked it out!
