This place is wonderful. Atmosphere is cordial, warm, with farmhouse chic decor (lots of raw wood, fresh flowers, pottery & fuss free). The food is priced very reasonably ($9-$20) and menu has an amazing variety. There are kimchee pancakes (to die for!), rabbit, falafel, hummus pancakes, salads made with fresh farm veggies in season, pizza, soups, etc. The house sangria is refreshing without tartness or overwhelming sweetness. The pastries are varied and hearty. Local wines, beers, and inspired cocktails finish the drink list. Highly recommend.
Brunch!!! Oh sweet, wonderful brunch. We had an excellent experience. Bloody Mary is spicy and delicious and the food was killer. Friendly staff and a sunny patio. Completely recommend!
Amazing!! Such a unique little restaurant in a converted home. You would never know it’s here if it weren’t for online posting and the small sign out front. The atmosphere was very inviting, we loved the different spaces, indoor comfort, outdoor garden tables and the bar accessible through the garden. Perfect! The food was delicious! We shared a pizza and a large cast iron baked cookie with ice cream, Sangria and French pressed coffee.
We will definitely be back! (Such a great place to wait out the ferry line instead of waiting 2 hours in the car).
The most delicious, creative and beautiful meal you can experience. I love the locally sourced ingredients and the new pre fixe menu. Perfection.
One gripe is that Google maps and yelp mark this place as 2 $ signs for the price. Do not be fooled, this is a 5 course meal and dinner is $$$$! I walked in expecting a casual meal and was bamboozled, hoodwinked, led astray, run amuck, and flat out decieved! Just kidding, but I was caught off guard! Ended spliting the bill with my date and lost major cool points lollllll
Coming to this place was like getting lost and walking into a fairytale. The setting feels like you are in secret magic house. I barely understood anything on the menu and probably too uncultured to appreciate the art and creativity that went into the food. But the food looks super pretty and was def a unique meal!!
This place is amazing, worth the trip. At first I thought, uh oh a natural food place, but forget that quickly as it's some of the best food around
Constantly changing menu of creative local food and drinks in an enchanting atmosphere! Mossback is literally in a house on a residential neighborhood, which I discovered while waiting for the Kingston ferry. Now I would get on a ferry bound just for Mossback alone. Since the restaurant is walking distance from the ferry terminal, it's a convenient destination. The service, however, can be quite slow, so be aware of that if planning around the ferry schedule, and expect to kick back and stay for a while.
Tasty food, interesting cocktails, and friendly staff... what more can you ask for? This small, cozy restaurant was a pleasant surprise. We will be back.
Off the beaten path. Cute house restaurant. Drinks are very good. My food choice wasn’t bad but not my favorite. Great vibe.
What an absolute treat! I visited this place with some friends (all of our first time here) and we were thrilled at the ambiance, attentive and knowledgeable staff, incredible (and LOCAL!) menu, delicious food and killer cocktails. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area!
