Chops Grille

My wife and I stopped by Chops Grille with another couple for a wonderful dinner. For starters we had the calamari, with an excellent sauce. I had the Pacific card which was outstanding and my wife had a very good veal dish. The restaurant was very nice and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

An utter waste of time on a night where the restaurant did not seem too busy. We made reservations through Open Table and were told they didn’t notice or look at the reservation and would have to wait 20 minutes. This turned into a 50 minute wait, despite a few open tables in view. The only staff member with any sense of urgency was the bartender. When we were finally seated (by the host, who awkwardly said “whenever you’re ready”) we waited 15 more minutes before the waitress even acknowledged us. No water, food or even an explanation of what the delay was about. We also noticed that people looked visibly annoyed at the slow pace, the time it took to be seated, and lengthy delay in getting their food. Our reservation was for 7pm and we stayed until 820pm, before deciding to go to a restaurant that was adequately functioning. We are genuinely perplexed that this restaurant has high ratings. Lastly, the menu was edited many times on each page, with cross outs and whatnot (eliminating many ingredients, changing prices) with pen and marker. The lobster ravioli no longer had lobster listed in the ingredients but was still called lobster ravioli. This did not reflect well for a more upscale restaurant.

Amazing dinner tonight for our large group of 45. Servers, Bartenders, Chef and host Denny did a fantastic job. I've never been disappointed with a meal there and heard from alot of first timers that they will be returning because it was so good. Everything was so good but the sliced steak was especially tender and juicy. Highly recommended.

We have been here a number of times and know the owner well. That being said I experienced the best meal I have eaten this year. Tonight Seared Halibut with clams in a corn bacon “chowder”. Simply amazing!!! That paired with Bang Bang shrimp and the most tender crab cakes. Thank you for a great night of dining
