Surfside Spirits & Deli

Love this little spot! Nothing fancy but good local style food! My favorite is always the shoyu chicken with fried rice! We also had the laulau plate, mochiko chicken, and the curry stew today! Delicious!! And don't forget to save room for the ice cream cookie sandwiches!! Awesome for a stop to pick up plate lunch or stop in after surfing. Staff is super friendly.

Friday night is music night - Hawaiians call it "Kanikapila" , friends come by for dinner around 5p-7p. at 7:30 Aunty "Vicky or V" sets her chair/table with her song book and Friends and Family that just finished dinner, takes out their instruments (ukulele, guitar, mandolin, hula dancers all join in for a jam session of Living Aloha Surfside Deli Style - and the food is Super terrific /Onolicious!!) You will feel like Family when you're there and take with you the Spirit of ALOHA!! !!

Amazing little spot for breakfast and mixed plates. Small menu, but everything is delicious. I think the Shoyu chicken, Lau Lau, and a couple other menu items are available every day but their other options change daily, so even though it's a small menu there's still good variety if you eat here more than once. I couldn't steer away from the Shoyu chicken though because it was so good. Will come back whenever I'm near Kihei

A huge lunch on Maui for under $10? Yes please! This was a true find in Kihei, great food, very reasonable prices and excellent service. Featuring authentic Hawaiian food, which the proprietor has been serving up the better part of 30 years. Location is in a mixed use building, underneath a condo building, but has plenty of seating and is across the street from a beach park. Give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed!
