We were lucky to be the second people to arrive last night because we didn't have a reservation but he was able to accommodate us. A few tables after us weren't so lucky. I believe he staffs based off reservations and doesn't take on more tables than his staff can comfortably handle. He wants his guests to have the full experience without long waits too. The table across from us says it's the restaurant they come back to every year and they eat at multiple times a trip!
We had a great bottle of Merlot, the charcuterie, steak and gnocchi. He gave us so many choices between sauces and garnishes for pastas. I chose the cream sauce that was absolutely perfect with the basil and gnocchi.
The charcuterie board was wonderful with the different meats and cheeses. The mozzarella was very fresh. My husband had the steak medium rare and it was very good. Excellent cook and a really nice flavour.
Unfortunately we both dug in before we remembered to grab a photo 🤭
We were treated to a 5-star meal on a Tuesday night, when the restaurant is normally closed. Having made reservation online which happened to coincide with another online party, the owner, Alessandro let us in, but we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Alex is a very charismatic host and chef. And the food... Oh my God... the FOOD! is incredibly tasty and delicious. It is like I am back in Italy 38 years ago!
This place deserves a Michelin rating!!!

What an experience!!!! We had such a FUN time at dinner here. We went with a group of 7 and had the patio to ourselves. We saw a beautiful sunset while awaiting our delicious homemade Italian dishes. The server was so funny and came out wearing a faux muscle man apron which made us all laugh. The food was very high quality. The ambiance of the patio is magical with the outside breeze, stars, and bistro lights. We would recommend this for anyone looking for a fun special night.
One of the best meals we've ever had ever. Amazing food. Amazing drinks. Amazing service. We almost never go to Italian restaurants but we would come back here over and over again.
AWESOME FOOD. Great authentic Italian food. Waiter/ Cook was amazing. Food was very delicious and big portions. It is a little pricey but the atmosphere and waiter make up for it. It is up stairs.

When we arrived we found the place empty, which usually is not a good sign, but we decided to stay nevertheless because of the reviews. It was the best decision we have possibly made, the owner went above and beyond in making us feel at home. Eating at Terrace Roma is the closest you can get to eat in Italy without being actually there. The food prepared at the moment, from scratch, not reheated "a la Olive Garden", cooked by the owner himself, and like the authentic Italian restaurant, it takes its time, so if you're in a rush, this is not your place. This is the restaurant where you come to enjoy a long intimate moment with your family or friends, to have a conversation, to laugh and be merry, so relax and drink your wine while the aromas of the kitchen permeates the room with hints of garlic and basil. The reason the place was empty that night was because they were preparing for a big party later. I guess we were lucky the owner decided to receive us and prepare us such a delicious dinner.
Alessandro, thank you very much for everything, we really enjoyed our time at your restaurant, we hope to visit you again sooner than later. Grazie mille!
Easily one of the best Italian meals we've ever had. Prices were a bit high but it was so worth it for the quality of the food. Would definitely recommend going!!
Hidden gem, delicious traditional Italian restaurant. Great and friendly service, loved the seafood pasta, the gnocchi, the tiramisu, and the cannoli.

Every time went there was a great experience from trying different dishes!First time step into the restaurant was attractived by the Roma style design,and decoration feel very distinctive!I had got tired of the "Black N' White"color style Italian restaurant,and every restaurant the staff wearing the same black shirt.When I looked at TERRACE ROMA,the red table already made me feeling I m hungry!After I sit down tried the famous Italiano style cold cut meats,the "Salami"group meats really hung up my stomache!What else man kind body need?Good quality meats to give us energy!After tired my favorite meat dish,I tired the nice looking salad dish,looks briliant also!The boss was so kind given us the free tiramisu,his special Italian accent made us put more good feeling with his desert...Like I said,It is really a very professional Italiano style restaurant,from breathe,and stomache,even the heart!I can feel how much the owner/boss put his heart,soul and spirit in...This is,a kind of new opinion restaurant worth you try,trust me,your stomache won't dissapointed with anything!
HIDDEN GEM! Very relaxing! If you are looking for dining away from the the Duval madness then this is a good place to go. And a bonus the food was good, fresh and reasonably priced given that you are in KEY WEST close to Mallory square! FYI it is upstairs, be careful, you might miss it!
