The restaurant is great, people are very kind, the food is so tasty, fresh, it's like eating a home cooked meal!
Cool little cafe with some unique art. Good people watching out of the big windows, so lots to laugh at. Only had the biscuits and gravy and eggs but that's a key thing since most places can't even do that well. Biscuit and gravy was good! Not the greatest but far from the worst. I'd come back to try more. Good service. CASH ONLY HERE
Amazing food. Great service!! Strong drinks!! When my wife and visit key west again, we make sure to stop there again. The rest of this is filler...
The Belgium waffle is a great, simple, original dish that tasted great. Also, the lobster po boy was very great, especially the warm sausage gravy.
My husband and I stopped by here for breakfast on our way out of town. The restaurant was very quaint and quite right near the water front. Our waitress was the sweetest lady ever. She was very friendly and chit-chatted for a bit. My husband ate the corn-beef and hash with Rye Bread and I had the tomato, feta and fresh spinach omelette with home fries and rye bread. Everything was fresh and served quickly. This is a cash only joint but don't worry the prices are very reasonable! You won't be disappointed :)
Perfect Late Sunday Morning Breakfast (cash only!). I stopped by Harpoon Harry's for a late morning breakfast. I was a single as my friend was busy writing a college paper. The staff quickly cleaned off a small booth for me as the place was quite busy. I ordered coffee and and ice water which they kept filled. I decided to order one of the breakfast specials, Crab Cake Benedict. The Crab Cake Benedict comes with either grits or home fries and I requested the home fries. When my breakfast arrived it tasted as good as it looked. The staff was friendly, courteous and efficient. Harpoon Harry's is now on my list of places to eat as I travel to Key West frequently for work.
(Note - there is an ATM at the front of the restaurant. Today their ATM was out of order so I went across the street to the grocery store to use their ATM.)
The food was great an the people were wonderful
Thank you. It's good to see, that certain things don't change.
Very friendly staff, no waitingtime to be served, wide choice of breakfasts (and they serve espresso!).
We enjoyed every Breakfast we had @ Harpoon Harry's (12-31-2013 - 01-02-2014)
Good Glorified Diner. Reminds me of a lot of other diners in Florida that cater to folks with a Northern Heritage. Don't get me wrong but if grits were on the menu other than in the form of shrimp and grits, I missed it.
That said, the food is excellent and service is very good. Atmosphere is kind of worn diner but what good diner isn't.
My wife had the Cinamon Raisin French Toast with a side of Fruit. Excellent choice becuase the fruit was very fresh and more than just melon and grapes. I had the Country Style Steak and Gravy with Eggs on the side, Granted the Steak was slightly overcooked but still very good and flavorful. Eggs were perfect.
Highpoint was the coffee. Coffee was excellent. Good and strong with a fresh robust flavor. Definately a restaurant strong point.
For breakfast, a definate recommendation for anyone in the area. It's also right off of the trolley so easy to get to and about a 2 - 3 block walk to Mallory Sq.
This is a great spot for a reasonably priced and delicious breakfast! Just be aware it is a cash only place. We loved the music decor! Our server was sweet and efficient, our food came out quick and hot. Blood Mary's and mimosas were just right. We will put this on our list when we return for sure.
So far it is the best place in Key West for brunch that we have tried. The restaurant is not huge, but cozy with very nice decorations; you can feel the love the owners have put into this place.
We ordered the 2:2:2 (2 French toasts, 2 eggs, 2 sausages), the lobster eggs Benedict and the crab cake eggs Benedict. We highly recommend any of them, but our favorite was the lobster eggs Benedict. They really know how to perfectly make eggs, just on point, inviting you to lick the plate! The service was also really nice.
One thing to keep in mind is that this place is cash only, so better to come prepared. They have an ATM onsite, but of course, there will be ATM fees.
Let me start with this place It has a great location. They have a great and friendly staff. They do get super busy and you probably may have to wait 20-30 min if they are busy but it's worth it. We had a traditional breakfast so nothing to show off but it was delicious!!! I saw other plates served in other tables and they looked delicious and I could hear and see people's faces in how pleased they were with the food. That was enough for me to buy it. The decoration of the restaurant is amazing and it's a trip on its own!!! This is a great spot to go and I'll highly recommend it 🔥🔥🔥
This is the local spot! Daily breakfast lunch and dinner specials it's like coming to cheers everyone knows your name! Nice bar to sit at or booths and tables! Very comfortable vibrant environment and the food was delicious! Had the Wednesday dinner special turkey dinner with all the fixings! Just like mom makes! Friendly prompt and authentic service!
Coll spot for breakfast or lunch. Has some retro decor and playing old music. The key lime French toast was good. I thought it would be Sugar overload but wasn't too bad. The coffee was good and our server was really nice. The place is cash only but they do have an ATM if needed.
Great Restaurant! The staff are kindhearted. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. The food is good. There are TVs to watch sports. Without any doubt Harpoon Harry’s is an awesome restaurant to go to! Have a great day!
I've been eating at this place prior to the past 2 renovations, and it keeps getting better. Our server was a delight, and genuine. She ended up hanging up a picture my son drew while at the table, which I don't think they do for everyone. So sweet. The food is no less delicious and savory. Everything cooked to perfection and nothing overdone. I got the 222 which is a basic breakfast and it was superb. Wife got the huevos rancheros and she said she it rivaled and possibly topped that same dish out in Santa Cruz. There is a well known place just a few steps down the street (and try it by all means), but honestly, if you pass by Harry's, you are making a mistake. The vibe is old school diner meets the true and authentic Key West. This place is a gem.
Great traditional mom and pop breakfast bar. Atmosphere was very welcoming. Service was great. Visiting key west for 5 days - will probably have breakfast here every day.
Ordered the key lime pie French toast and at first I wasn’t sure what made it “key limey”. Until I opened the bread a little they give you a slice of Kermit’s key lime pie inside of it! The raspberry sauce was so good and I didn’t even need syrup, even though they provided it. The sausage patties were delish and my husbands corn beef hash was also good. However, our waitress, Judy made the experience extra special. She was the sweetest. All the employees were so nice and welcoming though from the minute we walked in. Will definitely be back.
Coco our server gave us excellent and prompt service. The lobster po boy and the key lime French toast was AWESOME!!! It’s cash only and the savings because it made the lobster breakfast plate at least $4-7 less than other places. Well worth the stop and highly recommend it.
