Hurricane Restaurant

This was part of a package we got on a train tour through several cities. The food and service were amazing. We loved it so much that we are going back to Kennebunkport just to eat here again. Strongly recommend reservations since this place was packed even though we were there during the off-season.

We try to have at least one meal here every time we are in Kennebunkport. This time was no disappointment. The food was perfectly prepared and timely served. The waiter this time was a bit cooler to us than those in the past. I suspect his demeanor may have been due to his other customers appearing to be bigger tippers. May have just been having a tough night. That aside, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed ourselves immensely. I highly recommend this place.

It was a great restaurant. The food was tasty and for as packed as they were it was quick enough. The pricing was average. Portions were standard. My wife tried a specialty cocktail and was impressed with it. The service team was attentive and good at their craft. Parking is a complete nightmare. But when walking the street I advise parking in a lot west and just walk until you get to it. It's ungodly busy so be prepared.

We had a good time and good meals here. We had a window table that had a nice view of the sun set over the river. Our server was very good. When we first sat down, music was a bit loud and not at all martini and fine dining stuff. The server quickly had it changed when we pointed this out. The food was excellent. Not quite 5 stars as indicated above, not quite good. The fresh oysters were indeed fresh Maine oysters. Presentation on all the dishes was well done.

Went there for dinner and had a very nice evening there. Was able to sit by the window to see the water. We got there before 5 which is when there dinner time starts so we got some drinks and appetizers to begin. The crab cakes are delicious. I got the pork chops and my wife got the raviolis which was all very good.

Excited to revisit this place. Haven’t been for 5 yrs. First off, looking at the menu - you could tell it’s the real deal New England restaurant w a focus on seafood. 1/2 of the menu items are tradition dishes w there own take on them. Great variety. The location is in the heart of Kennebunkport, w water views. The pub side/entrance is really warm, decorated with local, ocean-style accents. The bar was full and lively and looked to have an abundance of wine to choose from. We had cocktails, they were perfect. Service upon entry to food service was top notch. Fair pricing for the quality of food and every dish look appealing. Lobster Chowder was very good (rich). The caesar, clams casino, oyster Rockefeller and tenderloin carpaccio were all good, but all could have been seasoned more or flavorful. Just being candid. Very safe recipes for my liking. Overall we were impressed and will try again.
