Babin's Seafood House

I has a bit of a bad experience but I called and told the manager. He defiantly took care of me and told me he would replace my meal. After a few weeks I finally was able to call and get my order replaced. I spoke with a lady named Stacy and she is hands done the sweetest lady EVER. They need more people like this in the restaurant industry. She well deserves a raise or a manager position.

I’m pretty sure this was my first time to any Babin’s restaurant. The decor was nice and the food was decent, but I wouldn’t call anything about it “upscale”. Everything was nice. *See my videos of some of the food* The staff was very hospitable and welcoming and helpful. One thing I have to say that stood out was that it was very cold on the floor. The bathroom was actually warmer. Lol. The seafood fondue was really good as was the seafood salad. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food with no real complaints from the kids. We followed dinner with a ridiculous bread pudding. I’d never seen bread pudding presented with merengue on top, but it was really good and so were the beignets. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

This was a great place to throw my friends birthday party. The service was fast, and the food was excellent. The group appetizers, gumbo, and the entire were excellent. The fried seafood platter had fried stuffed crab and boudin stuff shrimp. It was excellent. The surf and turf were excellent, and the baked potatoes are very large.

Okay, I think I have found an adequate competitor in the Louisiana Creole/Cajun branded large restaurant chains....with Babin's. It's direct competitor would definitely be Pappadeaux's. After eating here, it hurts my heart to say it because I am a Pappadeaux's girl...... but Babin's might have them beat. The food was excellent, priced adequately, and the flavor was spot on. I ordered the stuffed shrimp with rice and my hubby ordered the seafood sampler. One bite of my stuffed shrimp and it took me right back home to Louisiana! Flavor was spot on and the frozen margarita 🍹 was delicious and not too overpowering. I had to taste my hubby's order 😉 and the fried seafood was great! The ambience is good and our waiter might as well owned the place because he knew that menu with his eyes closed... can't beat excellent service paired with delicious food....come on Pappadeaux's you have to step it up a notch someone's coming to take your throne on this one. Definitely hit up Babin's in Katy if you have the opportunity!
