We finally got to Charleston Restaurant at Ward Parkway. We started with the Firecracker Shrimp, which was very delicious. The house salad was great! My wife had the prime rib and I had the trout (fresh fish of the day). All of the food was delicious. I guess we were lucky, because we had the best server, too!
We took our German Chocolate Cake home, since we were full, and it was great, too. Prices are a little upscale, but well worth it. We have a new favorite restaurant.

been there several times; mostly for happy hour -- slim choice of wine on happy hour, but its good! AND, those garlic shrimp or other shrimp choices on the happy hour menu are TO DIE FOR! The serving sizes are large; the dinner menu serving sizes are very large, too . We were there with a large group the first few weeks they opened, and they did a great job, with new employees....and been there since, and always a great experience and affordable for a beautiful place.
A friend of mine eat here once a brought me a piece of German chocolate cake that was otherworldly, it was so good. I've been there more than a couple of times since trying to get that delicious cake, but they NEVER have it. I tried today and no cigar...my only reason for 4 stars instead of 5... maybe I'm being petty tho...
So instead, for the first time ever, I ordered food, I had the Fish and Chips to go... and it was excellent, even the tarter sauce was good. Charleston's is a nice homey feeling place with good service a nice menu selection and reasonable prices. But if you looking for the German chocolate cake, well uh...
1st dining place for restaurant week. Charleston's has been one of our favorites in the past and this visit was no exception. The atmosphere and elegant dining area are very inviting from the beginning. Started off with iced tea and 'Signature' margarita. For some reason, the 'signature' has been removed from the menu, but can still be requested which includes an olive. Off the 'restaurant week' menu, we ordered the 'Grilled Chicken & Avocado Club' which per the pics was good sized and thick pieces of chicken with plenty of avocado. 'Walt's Champagne Chicken Salad' was the other order which also was huge with plenty of greens and chicken. Both meals were fresh and delicious. $15 per meal during restaurant week is a steal. Want to give a shout-out to our server Grant for the outstanding service we received. Very accommodating. This business is a place you would want to take professional personnel and friends to.
Artichoke dip was amazing and so was the chips, wanted the queso, but it had pork sausage. So the Artichoke dip was a good sub, had the shrimp pasta it was good, but had a little more grease than I would have liked. The wine was definitely a win thank you for the suggestion.
Met some friends here who wanted to try Charleston's out and we were pleasantly surprised. The Dynamite Shrimp was exactly that!!! DYNAMITE delicious. It is listed as an appetizer but I found it quite filling as an entree. I truly enjoyed every bite and highly recommend paired with a white wine suggested by our server made for a fantastic meal. The chocolate martini looked really good as well.
Charleston's didn't disappoint.... I enjoyed myself to the fullest.... We had the best server(Grace), she was amazing!! Going above and beyond to make our experience flawless. The portions are very hearty, as well as delicious 😋!! I will recommend that everyone go and try at least once.... But we'll definitely be back.... Continue to do what we love....we love consistent and friendly places to enjoy!!
