We had a group of 10 on a Saturday night. Amazing service and the food was great. I haven’t been subbed before the pandemic so I’m super glad they are still around. I would recommend to anyone in the area looking for great pizza.
eclectic little pizza place. Food was great! ordered a pepperoni hand tossed , Pasta w/ white sauce and wings. all really good. server was nice but was slow and drinks left empty for long periods. food wait time was as youd expect on a busy weekend. lots of activity in the restaurant and the locals seemed to love this place. I'd def recommend Waldos if you're in the area , looking for something a little different !
The Greek hand tossed pizza is really good. The meat balls have a savory Greek seasoning to them. The crust is chewy and not greasy.
I didn't get the salad bar, but based off of what I saw on others plates, it must be good. I like the atmosphere, especially the playing cards on the ceiling.
I was a little disappointed in my first visit. Maybe my expectations were too high. idk. I was very impressed with their vegan and gluten-free menus. My compliments were not enough meat, and the crust was a bit crunchy and dry. I also ordered a side of fries, and they were hard. I will return because my server was so nice and the atmosphere was great. Maybe i need to try something else. They had plenty of options
Great dining experience in the heart of Waldo, or possibly the restaurant is actually the heart...We cannot say enough good things about Waldo Pizza. We have heard great things about it, but we never had a chance to provide the restaurant. Here's a quick breakdown: the beer selection is great with typical selections mixed with local breweries, plenty of ciders and some uncommon ones (see pic of Dead Guy Ale Rogue). The salad bar was your standard fare but with dressings with a twist. Try the Westport Dressing and ask for their homemade French dressing--absoultely the best! It's great on salad and pizza. Restaurant has a great selection of pasta dishes (try the Cajun), but the pizza is really the biggest hit. There are many crusts to choose from, four sizes (the 16" is huge!), and a ton of topic variations. The Buffalo Chicken was outstanding. You cannot go wrong at Waldo Pizza!
This place brings back nostalgic Pizza-Hut-when-they-still-had-a-salad-bar vibes. If you're looking for some phenomenal pizza with pairings that make you think "do potatoes go on a pizza?" and then make you think "why doesn't all pizza have potatoes and Gouda on it?" this is your place. Crust is soft, but holds up to the very generous toppings, tons of options to please anyone, and cheese and sauce ratios have been perfected. We ordered Hawaiian and something-rojo, can't remember, but definitely will not forget the fantastic combo of potatoes, Gouda, chorizo, and cheese any time soon. 2 12" pizzas were perfect for four adults.
Amazing pizza and service!! We ordered over the phone and they were very helpful, and a fair price in my opinion. When you pull up, they offer to go in for you so you don’t have to get out of your car! We weren’t expecting it and it was a very nice courtesy.
Probably one of the best pizza spots in KC! Looking from the outside it looks like a hole in the wall place but it's pretty big on the inside. It's surrounded by lots of other bars and restaurants making it the perfect spot to start your night off right. Service is always great and the food comes out quickly. This place has my favorite pizza of all time, the Florentine - it's a must try! There isn't any meat on it but I promise you it doesn't need any. They have a full service bar with a big selection of beer and cocktails. Next time you're looking for a place to get some food and drinks, check out Waldo pizza!!
Great atmosphere and definitely good food. Living in NY all my life it has been hard to find even decent pizza in Missouri but Waldo's definitely fits the bill. Tried the El Diablo pizza and it was spicy but still flavorful. Staff was great. Forgot to ask about the story behind the cards on the ceiling but it definitely makes for an interesting look.
I went to this restaurant with my coworkers on Friday. We had a wonderful time. We had a great server.She gave us great customer service. The staff period,were very accommodating to us. The pizza was delicious. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious as well. I hadn't eaten here in years. This is a great pizza joint in my opinion.
