Casual and friendly with a great staff who do remember your name. The patio is always good for conversation and if you are new to town or visiting; 303 is the place to start. You may just end up staying.
Exceptional venue. Friendly, customer-focused wait staff and Chef Paul tears it up in the kitchen, serving the variety of small plates and daily specials that you might expect from a French bistro. The antique appointments create a special ambiance. My favorite place for cocktails. Highly recommended.
Friendly Bar that happens to have Food. We've visited Bistro 303 every year or two. I like the atmosphere, which is basically a neighborhood LGBT bar, where most customers seem to know one another. Being from out of town, we don't know anyone. But we still have a good time. The servers have been both friendly as well as efficient in waiting on our table. We've only had appetizers, which were fine, if unremarkable. The menu focuses on appetizers and sandwiches, but also contains pastas and other main courses. I would recommend the bar as a good place to stop between traditional meal times, or when you are more interested in a libation than in a full meal. Prices are reasonable. Come as you are. Leave happy.
No food just drinks. I haven't been there for dinner, but the Chocolate martinis (3 or 4) were delish.
ciao,
Tony
I truly enjoyed my dining experience. I ordered the Pan Roasted 🐔. The chicken was well done, generously seasoned, and exquisitely juicy! It was complemented by mashed potatoes with perfect consistency, and delicious asparagus!
The service was more than I could have asked for. Jeffrey (sorry if I misspelled it) and Randall were quite attentive. I was chatted up, educated about the specials and menu selections. I felt appreciated and welcomed! I left sated and sprightly.
The atmosphere was boisterous but pleasantly so. The other diners were having a great time. The restaurant was clean and adequately lit. Stop in for a bite! Today was half off sandwiches👍
303 has the best blue cheese & leek pie. I love their martinis and the watermelon margarita. I always start with an order or 2 of fried calamari.
This review is super late. I was here enjoying a trivia night with my girlfriend and her friend. I'll admit I did searches about this place and was happy to see the information I found was pretty on point.
The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful! I found my self feeling like I was in a lavish establishment, but some how among friendly neighbors and friends. I even made one while I was there! (Hello, Jenny!) Needless to say everyone I made eye contact with had a friendly nod and smile.
The food was SO nice. I had the Seared Yellowfin Tuna. It was amazing! The plating was incredible with a lovely arrangement of beautiful colors on a bed of fluffy risotto. And the asparagus was cooked perfectly! I made it a point to eat it much slower than the the outstanding server Venice tended to our orders, and drink refills.
If you haven't tried this place out yet, and are looking for a good place for good memories. Great staff, great style, great dishes, and as far as I could tell the folks at the bar were safe and happy.
The steak special and the roasted Chou were both excellent; Reilly too good care of us. We would definitely go back!
Sundays special was scallops & they were everything! Ima very picky eater & each time we’ve eaten here I clear my plate bc every morsel of food is at its best!
Paul is a God in the kitchen, the service is on point, the servers are eye candy, the drinks are fire, the atmosphere is practically narcotic & honey I live for Jeff! He makes my soul happy!
Too experience the 303 bistro is too truly experience KCMO @ her best!
Enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was good, service on point, definitely would come back for a brunch, dinner or drinks
What an incredible experience! I came in with the intention of staying for about an hour and checking out other places in the area, but then ended up spending my whole evening here.
I came for the Monday night cabaret show and it was so much fun! Anthony the emcee was great! Michael is the best bartender and made me feel so welcome. He also went up and sang!
I had a great time meeting the other patrons and staying after the show to hang out and dance.
This is an LGBTQ friendly bar with a clientele of mostly older men (at least the night I went)
The food was excellent! Very fresh and well priced.
I’ve read through the reviews and I really don’t understand how someone would have such a *terrible* experience here. My boyfriend and I have been here three times, we have, been the first visit, welcomed in the most genuine way. Michael behind the bar is just the best. The food is absolutely fantastic, they have great drinks, and I LOVE the atmosphere. Martini Wednesdays! Also, they have a small dog friendly patio in the back. We will definitely be regulars here.
I LOVE this place! Wonderful food, cocktails, and the staff and management are awesome. The patrons are great as well. I always have a great time. It is the best LGBT friendly place in Kansas City.
The building has lots of character. Cloth napkins, fresh flowers. Stool seating so a bit hard on my partner's back. Attentive service. Good food. Tasty cheesy grits.
