Chicken King

Husband eats here time to time on lunch breaks for work and since the 1st time he introduced me to it. We both like it very much. We have our family going there now and they also like it. The food is awesome here the costumer service is awesome here also! I'm glad I went when we did. The salads are awesome. They have homemade sauces and they are off the charts. The place is very clean all the time, the employees are very friendly and nice and always has a smile on there face and very helpful. Always have drink filled and good to go. They have a big sign on the counter where you order showing the specials and the writing is very big and neat. Love this place

This place doesn't look like much, but don't let that fool you. Some of the best fried chicken that one can get. Their burgers are also awesome. The prices are super cheap too, especially for the amount of food you get. I've tried a little bit of everything there and haven't found anything I didn't like. The staff is always as friendly as can be. They always fry the chicken fresh and even the white meat is amazingly juicy. Gotta let it cool down or it's like eating lava.

UPDATE: unfortunately this local gem is closed and the building is for lease. Been going here whenever possible since they opened, the club sandwich is absolutely amazing! I have a friend that will drive from mooresville just for this sandwich. The burgers are also top notch, I normally am very picky with burgers, most places are too dry or too greasy, these guys nail it. And they are generous with the toppings and sides. You will be FULL if you finish a meal from here. Give them a try, you won't regret it, and if you think it's just another chicken place, WRONG. They have so much more to offer. Chicken, burgers, sandwiches, they do it all and they do it well. Definitely worth a visit.

The food is always hot and DELICIOUS!! Johnny cook's that great food...he is funny AND has a heart of gold. Brittney has the most wonderful demeanor. I absolutely adore her and am happy to wait while my food is being cooked fresh because that means I get to catch up with her. If you haven't tried Chicken King, you are seriously missing out on good stuff!

I love this place! Great Food, Great prices and friendly people. The place doesn't look like much but everything I've tried is delicious. They changed management there for awhile (honestly don't know who owns it now) but it seems to be getting back to normal. When it changed though, I didn't like that you couldn't add anything to a child's hamburger. I know it sounds dumb.. Please add this back, there's no reason I shouldn't be able to add Bacon to a kids hamburger, if I'm willing to pay for it.

Use to come here every now and again. Always liked the food for the prices. With under new management, didn't take my fundraising discount card for a free drink, okay? You would rather lose customers than give a $1 drink? Ordered a 8 piece chicken meal to go, asked for all dark meat. I guess that was really confusing. Rushed me out, when I got home, realized why. The smallest chicken pieces that's been sitting there since lunch. Never will go back.
