We went there for lunch cuz our Boss loves the Kalbi plate here and for some reason the Kalbi plate is cheaper here than Mililani where we live. The ambiance the place makes you feel like you are welcomed and on vacation. We just happened to be working nearby so we definitely will be back here when we come to Kailua!
This hands down has to be my favorite place to go in Kailua now! So, right after the Super Bowl, we know the place would have cleared out. We had Krystal, who was so nice & sweet & had the best sense of humor! She memorized our order completely. She did accidentally forget our appetizer (but she also had A LOT of tables so I'm not going to blame her for her to forget one little detail) but she was super awesome & I can't wait to go back! Thank you so much for the awesome customer service, Krystal, & jokes (even after the Super Bowl)!! XOXO
Decent bar.. I will be back here. Patrons at the bar were a bit off-putting, but hey.. each to their own. Don't get me wrong, the place is good, but it's just not my fav.
Food was ok. Asked for onion rings as they looked good on another's plate and got fries - didn't feel like waiting for an order fix as the food took a while already. Tables were sticky and heavy metal music wasn't the lunch dinner vibe. Watching Biggest Loser on TV as you're scarfing down fried food is also not without guilt. It was ok. $20 a plate.
The Shack was great! There was no wait when we arrived and were seated on the outdoor patio (sun shaded) and were served by Shaunny. She was excellent! Super funny and inviting. The restaurant is known for their burgers so we each gave one a try. Definitely didn’t disappoint! I highly recommend The Shack for your next burger on Oahu.

Came back 3 weeks ago and wings are still delicious!! Best ones in town. They have a great selection in beers. Service was awesome!
Very nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. We both ordered burgers (that actually come with fries for no extra $) and they were excellent. We loved this place. I wanted to try the wings but uh…that’s an astronomical price!
First time at The Shack Kailua. Good burgers and excellent fries!! Nice to sit out on the lanai. Definitely be going back to taste the rest of the menu.
This was a nice causal place to grab a drink and a burger. I’m not a beer drinker so I got some of their cocktails - they were very flavorful, and I loved the little umbrella touch to them. I also highly recommend their Mama’s Mud Pie. It was delicious! This location was Covid compliant and kept sanitized.
This is a casual place. The prices were just right. We decided to give it a try since we had a long day at the beach. We will definately come here again. Server was friendly and fast. Plates are big, we took leftovers home.
Great local spot for great local food and great local atmosphere. It's conveniently located as we stopped here on the way to Kailua beach. The kalbi plate is yummy and if you order a salad, trust me, it's huge and can serve more than 4 people. One note though, it doesn't open until 11am. If you're early you can wait across the street and have a cup of coffee.
Love the portion of the sandwiches , the salad that my friend got was massive .

All of them were amazing .
The waitress Bethany/Brittany(i forgot her name) blonde was so friendly
