We ordered the special Pancakes with Macadamia Nut sauce... was not disappointed. I also ordered ribs which was delicious. My favourite however was the Fruit Punch which had free refills and tasted so refreshing.

This place is very popular to the tourists so if you wanna dine in and be seated fast try to be early cause the line tends to get long. I love the pancake with macadamia nut. They only accept cash so bring some. The service is fast. I love the interior specially the little hut and the shirts hanging in the ceiling.
This place is cash only and kind of pricy. Wait staff has computer on their wrists, so kitchen has your order out quick. They are very nice, but are sticklers for enforcing table size per your party. Don't be surprised to see wild chickens walking around outside on the sidewalks.
Boots & Kimo's is a must in Kailua! The banana pancakes with the macadamia nut sauce are absolutely delicious and a must. We went on a Sunday at 7:30 and didn't have to wait. We had read previous reviews so we were nervous about poor service, but we couldn't have had better service. Our server, Jaron, was so pleasant and friendly. They kept our drinks refilled. Don't let the negative reviews keep you from trying this place.
Coming here for the first time, it is a small restaurant. The line was outside like everyone says but I only waited 5 mins to be called. I got good customer service for a busy day. The food was good and the wait on the food was nothing out of the ordinary from any restaurant.
Delicious food, but I am not sure it would have been worth the 90 minute wait we were quoted. We opted to order it as takeaway (which took 30 minutes) and ate it on the tables outside the restaurant.
Clean, yummy and soooo worth the wait!!!! I do not like breakfast good and I do not like pancake with a sauce like macadamian nuts (too much).
I got the teriyaki chicken, wow the best teriyaki chicken I have ever had. I felt great after and not yucky bloated.
I can't wait to go back! It is a must!

Our last visit was 13 years ago when we lived on Oahu. What an amazing treat to return today hoping for the delicious experience we had so long ago and to receive it. Stood in a short line on a rainy Wednesday. Ordered at the door, paid inside, and were seated right away. Must order the original pancakes with Kimo’s macadamia nut sauce- they are a 10/10 and deserve the hype. We paired it with the spam & cheese omelette- also a 10/10 lots of spam and tasty cheese in a perfectly cooked omelette. The salty taste of the omelette balanced the sweet taste of the pancakes. We shared both and it was perfect for 2 people. Service was friendly and warm.

We started coming here many moons ago when they were at their original location, which was a cozy little place. They've since moved twice, each time into a bigger location but still in Kailua. I'm glad to see they survived covid and still very popular. We all got our fill of the original pancakes with macadamia nut sauce with a side of bacon and eggs. I opted for the Paniolo Omelette, which is made with corned beef. Hash browns were cooked perfectly too! Due to staffing shortages they now take your order prior to entering the restaurant. They have menus taped to the windows so you can decide, or you can scan the qr code. Then you'll sanitize your hands and then go in and pay for your food. By the time you finish paying your drinks will already be at your table, with the food following shortly thereafter. I thought I might not see any servers once I got my food but there was always someone coming around to refill water and coffee. It's nice to see that this small business has made great efforts to survive in trying times and we'll be back again next year.
We had to wait outside for someone to take our order first, before being seated at our table. It was odd, but they were trying out a new method of seating/ordering. The food was delicious! We got the Hawaiian spicy chicken wings and macaroni salad, which was amazing. As we were eating we noticed everyone ordering the Macadamia Nut pancakes, so of course we had to order it to-go! We sat in our car and tried it. Needless to say, we ate the entire thing! It was the best pancakes we’ve ever eaten!

For the last decade, I dreamt of Boots & Kimo's macadamia nut sauce pancakes. I visited B&K 11 years ago when they were at a smaller one-off plaza. Back then, I remember waiting 1.5 hrs but it was totally worth it.
So after a decade and change, here I was reliving my dream. B&K had moved to a larger spot and had a line in front even at 8am opening.
But oh boy were the pancakes just as I remembered them. This time, we had French Toast with the macadamia nut sauce as well and it was simply heavenly. The toast was thick and soft and went perfectly with the sauce. The banana pancakes were also fluffy. My 3 kids gobbled them up like there was no tomorrow.
We also had an omelette rice which was also lovely.
The only blemish of the day was that the interior was a weird mixture of sports jerseys (which I think was there 11 years ago but not as prominent) and the place smelled a bit funky. I couldn't also help feel that they were trying to shuttle through as many customers as possible but that's understandable given their popularity.
B&K is a true gem of Oahu. One must pay a visit to this sacred location.
My entire family enjoyed the place and food, wish we could have eaten even more! For breakfast we ordered blueberry pancakes, the galbi, puleho ribs, corned beef hash, and a hamburger. Everything tasted amazing and just the right portion. Our host was incredibly kind and charming thank you to her as well. Please give this place a try!!

I visited in April ‘23. They were short staffed, so before I was able to get into the restaurant, I had to look through the menu posted on the window and put in my order with a person. After that, they seated me quickly and my order was out pretty quickly, too.
I had blueberry pancakes (half order) with macadamia nut sauce and a side of pineapple spears.
Pancakes were delicious - especially the sauce!!! Half order was more than enough for me. In fact, I couldn’t finish it.
This was my breakfast stop before the beach, so the kind lady that served me was so kind to pack my left-overs so I can eat them at the beach later and give me some extra macadamia sauce.
The hype is worth it. The menus are posted on the wndows and you order with staff at the front door before you go inside. Once inside, you pay for the meal (including tip) before they seat you. I arrived at 11:50am on a Thursday, paid, got seated, and had my food and drink at 11:55. I was shocked. Very efficient. I got a short stack of banana pancakes (2 huge plate size pancakes) covered in the macadamia sauce. Just wow. I'm shook. Absolutely light, not to sweet, and very satisfying. My order with a water to drink was $19.21 including tax (tip extra). I would definitely come here again and try other dishes too. There is a Round Table Pizza and a Yamas Mediterranean restaurant in this same small shopping plaza too.
This place came highly recommended and it held up to our expectations! Such good food and nice people! Thanks for an awesome breakfast!
The food was delicious. Also, the restaurant was full, so probably you will need to wait 5-10 min on a queue till you get in. The staff was friendly.
My meal was super delicious 😋 Best brunch I had in a long while. The French Toast is AMAZINGLY good! I can't believe I ate the entire serving.
I will be visiting again.
