Casa De Oro

We loved this place! We stopped here on NYE on our way to the casino. The free queso and pico alongside chips and salsa was a unique touch. We loved the Cadillac and banana margaritas. The salsa was better than most Mexican restaurants--smokey and just spicy enough. My hubby had the 3 taco meal (forgot to get a photo) in which the tacos were HUGE and I had the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo which was cooked perfectly and the sauce was to die for. We took probably 3 meals worth of leftovers home. We will definitely be stopping here every time we are in Jefferson in the future!

The tortilla soup was good. I ordered a beef tostada that tasted ok but the presentation was sloppy. We also ordered a Chili Relleno and it was a hot mess of cheese and beans, the relleno pepper was hard to find - again just sloppy presentation and improper proportions. Friendly staff and clean restaurant.

We drive from Fort Dodge just to get the best Mexican food. There plates are way more than you can ever eat! And the price is even better! Cheap with alot food and plenty to take home. The staff are very nice and they make sure that your never without drinks chips and salsa! I recommend eating here everyday 🥰
