Woods Creek Cafe

We were greeted personally by the owner upon our entrance and treated like family by everybody! This was of the best breakfast that brother from another mother and I have had in a while. My brother had corned beef hash with scrambled eggs, hash browns and sausage gravy on a biscuit. I chose the old school Denver omelette with hash browns and a bagel. It was enough food for two, although back in the day I would’ve eaten it all! Our waitress was delightful and kept the coffee flowing. We took two cranberry scones with lemon curd for the road. On the way out the door, I spoke with a very nice couple who were going to try the raspberry donut cheese cake! We will save that for the next trip!

First things first, when you go in there’s a white board on the right where you sign in. They’re usually busy so that’s where to start. Anyways this place is SO good. I knew a place like this has to have delicious chicken fried steak and I was right. Expect to have a bit of a wait but it’s good food so I’d say it’s worth it. I’d consider driving an hour from home just to have breakfast here.

Everything is great here...food, service, friendly, quick to get our orders. The only complaint is that they do not take card payments...this is a big negative to me. I'm glad I had some cash on me coming from out of town. Did not know that it was cash or check only until right about the time we were finishing our breakfast. Nowadays that's strange not to say inconvenient. And totally shocked at them accepting a check because that's not as guaranteed of clearing as credit card or debit cards. Anyway, that was surprising and just glad I had cash after eating.

Was hoping the change of ownership would not negatively impact the quality of the food but unfortunately that is not the case. We noticed a slight decline in quality shortly after the change of ownership and gave it some time before trying it again. It has only gotten worse. The food isn't prepared to the same standards as before. We used to eat here almost every week. Hopefully they can get a rhythm going soon!

Nothing close to the flavor it used to have. Since they have new owners everything changed. Even the hrs I showed up for lunch around 1 pm and was already closed. I don't get why have a time to open and close if they won't keep it professional.. I believe they have lost costumes and if continues they would have to shutdown for good. They only good about this its their waitress and the lady that works in the back always smiles Since I started going here around 15yrs ago..

We spent a weekend in Jamestown and asked if there are any good restaurants I was told about the word Creek Cafe and I was told that it has a 5-star rating on Yelp. We decided 2 go there. The place was full we have to wait for a little while to get seated. I ordered a Linguisa omelette and the other three people ordered different things and I was amazed at the speed that the food came. All our food was excellent I have very rarely given 5 stars to anything but this place definitely deserved it. The owners are very attentive and hospitable. The next time and we are in townem we will definitely patronize this place.
