Absolutely amazing! My only complaint is I live three hours from here, so I can't have it more often. Honestly, it's one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I also got some fried mushrooms. They were very good and had a good blue cheese tasting dipping sauce with it. It's definitely a place you should try if your in the area.
Hometown favorite. Not my style of pizza but it is good. Thick crust and sweet sauce. Great wings. Always busy so if you call and it's busy just keep calling. No delivery. Great price.
My favorite pizza in the world. I've had pie in Naples, Italy and still prefer Lena's.
Every year when I come up from Virginia my first two stops are to Johnny's and Lena's. ❤️❤️❤️🍕🍕🍕🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
There are many great places to get pizza and/or wings in Jamestown...
For pizza, Lena's is the best. For wings, they may not be #1, but they're top 3 and close enough to #1 more than satisfy.
They have a very small menu--one of those places that focused on perfecting a handful of things vs mediocre-ing a variety of things.
All their pizzas are delicious--the basic pepperoni, the white pizza, the chicken wing pizza... Don't sleep on their chicken fingers either, they're sneaky INCREDIBLE.
So why 4 stars instead of 5?
A few fairly minor inconveniences:
1) They don't deliver, nor are they available on any delivery apps.
2) You can only order in person or by phone--and they only have one phone line, which is often busy from all the other people trying to order their pizza. I once had to call 17 times in a row before I got someone on the phone--that's not an exaggeration. The silver lining here is they're clearly in demand. Everyone in town knows they're the best, so it's a rat race to get your order in.
3) The staff is often a little grumpy. I chalk it up to them being so busy. When you go in there, you'll see them all racing around, multi-tasking, trying to keep up with all the orders. I don't entirely blame them for seeming a little on the grouchy side, but I have to list it here as one of the inconveniences contributing to their missing star.
All that said, Lena's is worth the minor hassle those few inconveniences present. The food really is that good.
Great pizza. I went again for the first time in 30 years on a visit to my hometown. Still the same great pizza. This is a thick crust style and is filling. The prices are pretty reasonable too.
Just passing through Jamestown with my wife, daughter and two grandchildren and stopped at this pizzeria. The pizza here is cheesy, saucy and delicious. The crust is a little thicker than the thin crust pizzeria in New York City, but it compliments the toppings. This pizza is a meal. All 5 of us said that it was great pizza.
Best community pizza and wings . I've had very many fond memories there over the years God bless and keep them around
I have loved Lena's pizza over forty years, even with change of ownership over the years. It is my favorite pizza of any I have had. Actually, I heard the owner say that they opened 50 years ago this past April, so I have been going nearly that long. I guess I am older than I think 😁
Best darn pizza in the United States all the way from Georgia to Jamestown New York for their delicious pie and wings you are the best and thanks for that 1 anchovie to try 🐟
I grew up on Lena's pizza! In fact, the majority of the Jamestown area grew up on Lena's pizza!!! Lol... It's a staple of my visit to my hometown! It doesn't change, it still tastes the same as it did when I was 5!!! It's the best pizza I have ever had in my life and I've had pizza everywhere!!! It's cheesy and fresh homemade, hand tossed crust with delicious sauce just makes it EVERYTHING!!!
