I went to Murray Hillbilly for Sunday lunch. It was the kind of day that I just wanted to eat in peace. It was perfect at this time on this day for that. There were only a few other customers inside. One was seated and eating. The other two were awaiting their to-go orders.
When I walked in, I was greeted, and they were ready to take my order. They were also patient, as I had only been there once before, a few years ago. I ordered and sat down to enjoy the quiet while they prepared my food. When done, they brought out my fresh, made-to-order Smoky burger with fries. It was delicious!! The portion was enough for me to bring home leftovers for the next day's lunch.
I know I'll be going back. There are lots of other menu items I plan to try!!

Best vegan food ever!
Definitely a must try, even if you’re not “vegan”. Everything was delicious. They also host a vegan maker’s market with live music, so keep an eye out for that!
Wow wow wow I love vegan junk food! You know how many times I’ve wanted a crispy buffalo chicken sandwich with ranch??! I was finally able to get one with a side of Mac n cheeze and dude I was in HEAVEN. The two people working behind the counter were so friendly and helpful to my parents and me. Bathrooms were clean and we arrived around 3pm and easily found parking. I will fly in and out of Jacksonville JUST to eat here 😊

Mom had the shrimp basket. I did not tell her it was vegan and she was shocked when I told her that it was not shrimp from the ocean (after she ate the whole dinner). Lol
A bit pricey. $47 for two meals. I didn't get a receipt so not sure what I paid for. 🤷Still going back tho.
Also had a live performer playing guitar and singing to us while we ate.

Ordered the Hillbilly Whopper and it was delicious! Spot on for flavor and tasting like a whopper. The staff was helpful and friendly. Overall would recommend!

Y’all I’m a very picky eater lol. Not one to just try anything but when I tell you the shrimp po boy was delicious I mean it was delicious. We found the restaurant on TikTok and we decided to try it out and I’m honestly impressed. Let’s just say the sandwich didn’t get a chance to make it home. I’ll be back soon 10/10.
I have been vegan for the last 3 years and vegetarian for 4 years and this is honestly the best vegan restaurant I have been at! My fiancée loved it as well, he was a big meat eater and JUST transitioned to veganism, and going to Murray Hillbilly made it way better for him since it got him excited that vegan food can taste so much like meat he used to eat. This was so special for us since I’m from Argentina and moved to Florida a year ago and I hadn’t be able to try much of the food that my fiancée (who was born and raised here) always ate and loved.
We loved the vibe of the place and the staff was super nice. I think it became by far our favorite restaurant.
You HAVE TO order the “chicken” wings, they are mind blowing. I haven’t taste nothing close to a chicken for over 4 years. And I 100% recommend choosing their patty for the burger.
The ooooonly thing we didn’t like much were the fries, they seemed over cooked and was kinda tasteless. Everything else was AMAZING.
My first visit, and definitely not my last. Every now and then, you have a taste for foods you miss and the vegan wings hit the spot. The vegan wings were flavorful and a bit realistic and yes I chewed on that sugar cane ( faux bone)😂😂along with top notch friendly customer service, I will return.
We came here during Hurricane Ian. The staff is friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. We had an abundance of food. We tried the Buffalo wings, which were pretty good, tried Val’s cupcakes and I thought they were delicious but my wife found it too sweet. The slaw is great, Mac’ n’ Cheeze was lacking the cheesiness, Buffalo ranch chickun sandwich was a little too dry for my liking. The Muenster cheese fries were incredible, & the spicy chickun fry was perfect. Would definitely recommend to check out this hidden gem.
