We had lunch there today. Everything was, as always, delicious, fresh, perfectly cooked. Even the Brussels sprouts were melt in your mouth! The fried fish was so tasty, only needed lemon so as not to disguise the good flavor. Thank you, Ava, for providing us such a wonderful selection of quality good Southern cooking & down-home service!
Great fresh food, comfy atmosphere and the owner is personable and excellent at dealing with difficult customers. I felt so at home that we started chatting with the gentleman next to us and he being a regular had me the skeptic trying stuff I usually would pass on. Highly recommend...everything was delish!

My husband and I were looking for southern food and found this place, turns out it's a buffet and the quality of food was great!!! Everything we tried was enjoyable. Our server was very kind and tentative she was great. She was a short blonde with a great personality. She was very welcoming. They had plenty to choose from also had a salad bar as well as desserts. We will be back. Thank you for a great experience.
Nice small and simple place. Selections were limited but very good. Waitress was nice and attentive. Place is a little dated, but its all tidy and clean. I had the fish, spaghetti, bbq chicken, black eyed peas, yellow rice, some cooked greens and sweet tea. If you like home cooked meals, this place won't disappoint.
The fried chicken was great. Tasted home made, just like mine. Many vegetables and meat entrees to choose from. Salad bar. I didn't care for some of the meat options like the pork roast. Chicken livers were dry. But other people liked the things I didn't care for.

If only the banana pudding were "real" instead of canned pudding with cookies and banana slices .
One price for the buffet. Good deal. I don't live close or i would probably return.
We were on our way home from Savannah, Georgia, went to the museum in Jacksonville, Florida and googled "buffet near me". It was a bus full of 31 people. Other restaurants were not tasty on our route. This food and service did not disappoint us. Very delicious. I recommended this place to anybody. It tasted like the food in Houston, Texas, my hometown. ❤️ Loved it!!!!!!

Stopped in at Gingers today on a whim. $10.99 price seemed a bit high till I ate the food. All Southern Home cooking fresh and very tasty. Our waitress was great. Very friendly place. Deserts were home made too and I highly recommended the banana pudding. Gingers is 1 block West of highway 17 and tucked in a little strip center. Worth the visit.
Good food. Reasonable price. Little table service. Tastes almost as good as Arden's used to be. A little salty and generic but nonetheless tasty. Have eaten here for years as Ardens and will be back as Ginger's.
True Southern cooking. The black-eyed peas are to die for. A hidden food gem in Riverside. Friendly staff, casual atmosphere and really good food. They have a wonderful selection of southern vegetables. If you want trendy not the place. Reminds me of the mom and pop places so prevalent here when I was growing up.
I just found out about this place Sunday. First they greet uou at the door. They have the all you can eat salad, main course and dessert bar. They are constantly checking and adding fresh food. Great southern food. Reasonable price and great service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
