This place is one of a kind in Jax. First off, it’s the best tofu I have ever eaten by far. It turns out that they make the tofu from scratch with a tofu press using the owner’s family recipes from China. Secondly, literally every detail of the place is carefully thought out from the photos on the wall of the organic Chinese farm where the tea leaves are sourced to the biodegradable plastic ware. Third, all of the other food is really healthy and as well and delicious - they can seriously cook. Menu items range from giant organic salads to tons of different tofu variations to Chinese dumplings to vegan mac/cheese, chicken and mushroom croquettes, etc. Finally, they not only serve phenomenal Chinese tea, but the owners are so passionate about the need for eastern-style meditation and relaxation techniques within busy American culture, that they have set up a separate tea room where they will take you through a one hour session of having Chinese tea and learning to relax as you drink it with a tea master. This place is very unique, cool, delicious, and healthy, and it packs a big dose of authentic Chinese culture to boot.
Super excited to have stumbled on to this place. It is so hard to find any where that is organic and literally organic. We drove 70 miles to here and it was worth the drive . I have yet to find all organic here in Florida except A place in Tampa I visit regularly (pizza fusion now called Tampa pizza company ) . I thought it was very well priced for all organic. The salad was actually too big to finish and we ordered the small order of fried rice which we split. This will definitely be a regular stop for me. Excellent flavor in the salad and rice .
I had a great experience at Hakka with a medium size group of friends. The 6 of us received excellent service and outstanding food. There is limited meat/fish options but the tofu pairs well with the noodles or rice. The dishes are simple but delicious and the ingredients were very fresh. The restaurant only seats a few tables so the dining experience is very relaxed. Make sure to watch the hour glass while your tea is brewing to get the store your want to drink.
Our server, Annie, made us feel so welcome and was perfectly attentive thoughout our meal. She facilitated having the amazing chef to be super accommodating with our request to be as no-oil as possible and everything was incredible. Flavors, textures and presentation are phenomenal. Even the tea presentation is gorgeous and delicious!
Yummy lunch today. We ordered every "small plate" and a pot of tea. One of our family members is vegetarian and often a restaurant has only two selections available on the menu so it was a nice change to be spoiled for choice. Food and service both excellent. Tea was so "fresh" tasting. One pot was $7, able to be refilled 3 times, so more than enough tea for 3 people. Cucumber salad had a tiny kick! Steamed buns were my favorite.
Annie was so friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our lunch today. First time visiting but definitely not our last. The food was so flavorful and filling. Loved the vegan options and the cocktails!
The food is exceptional! Top notch.
High quality organic food. Wide range of choices for organic tea. You can buy tea to take home with you. The food is not processed or over seasoned with salt.
Whole foods, prepared expertly. I really like the food and tea.
I come for the food and the teas. But an added bonus is the ambience. It's so relaxing and chill. The music is calming. When I need a break from stress - this is the place for me.
The staff is amazing! They want you to be pleased with your meal and tea. I can't wait to try all the new choices. I live out of town but I am in Jax frequently. This is always my first stop for food.

Omygosh I don't know where to start. If you're thinking about trying this restaurant, DO IT. Owner is so nice, food is SO GOOD and loved the whole vibe! Delicious organic plant-based specialty Chinese food. Such a hidden gem. 3 small plates is perfect for 2 ppl to split. We made one family sized and it was borderline too much food. Tea was great. This was unique, incredible food! My husband and I were looking for something different and were pleasantly surprised with how incredible everything was! We had the yellow tea, baozi for our appetizer, I had the wild mushroom pesto rice 💕 and my husband had the Hakka style rice and we had the peanut pancakes 💕! Everything tasted amazing 🤩 words really are not enough!

Fine dining taken to the next level, in my opinion this is the very best that money can buy. Not only is this fine dining, it's a Zen Experience that sets new standards for the conscious minded looking for the very best that Jacksonville has to offer.
Blending traditional tastes and cooking techniques with the newest vegan and health conscious innovations as well as fresh organic ingredients that highlight freshness and quality.
The menu prices are very good considering the level of quality, not just in the organic ingredients but also in the methods of preparatio for house-made sauces, tofu, fermented soy milk- all organic and made fresh...
It's amazing to talk to the staff and hear about their passion for the finest ingredients, taste and nutrition, they are very knowledgeable and friendly.
It's worth paying extra for me, knowing that I am not putting any unnecessary chemicals or pesticides in my body, or my family.
By far my favorite restaurant in Jacksonville, the quality cannot be beaten, everything on the menu is worth eating!
I recommend the Ginger Detox Smoothie to start...

Can't go wrong with the chef's special, it's constantly changing with new seasonal ingredients, recently tried tapioca flour breaded jackfruit that you could swear was chicken or pork, so crunchy and sweet.
The fried noodles are to die for good, spicy or no spice, we've had both ways and will be back for more, very good sauce!
The bon mi sandwich is amazing and vegan too... It's a favorite. Very classy and high quality for a sandwich.
The Tofu is made fresh and the black tofu has more taste than any other tofu I have tried, you can eat it like steak, or the get portobello mushroom steaks that are really great too.
The vegan food here is classy, tasty beyond words, fresh and clean, I feel great after eating here... Even when I indulge and eat a little more than I should. Food this clean leaves me feeling so good.
Ps... They have vegan ice cream and peanut pancakes.
Had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. The mushroom rice was incredible- I highly recommend trying it! The drinks also good.
The restaurant itself was very calm and relaxing which I appreciated. The service was also great.
We found this place while on a day trip to Jax, and it was amazing! Ordered the fried rice and the black tofu, and both were incredible. (If you can't pick between the two though, go for the black tofu 😉) Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. It's a little pricey, but definitely worth the cost. Highly recommend!
