Pho tom yum with shrimp was delish!! Atmosphere was nice! Will definitely go back and try something new!
Take out could be better. Had the small "standard" bowl for takeout. Flavor was fine, but the flimsy utensils were a joke and they didn't include any chopsticks. I wasn't offered any offered condiments to go (would have liked some hot sauce) and by the time I arrived back at my office 6 minutes after picking up my food, the noodles were so stuck together, I had to dump them in the broth in one big lump. I don't know what they can do about that, but it's something to consider if you're ordering to-go. Also, it's a bit pricey. The small pho was eight bucks. I also got an order of Thai Chicken bites, which are essentially chicken meatballs. Six meatballs for six bucks. Seems a bit much.
You have to be into pho, but if you are a fan of Vietnamese, highly recommend this hidden gem in downtown! Try the "pick 3" for 10 bucks and a delicious Singha import. Just make sure you park relatively close - downtown as always can be dicey.
VEGAN BROTH. Our vegan broth is enhanced with a Japanese vegetarian seasoning consisting mainly of mushroom bullion. it is very similar to a dashi or miso soup base in consistency that it has small chunks of mushroom. it is a water based broth and is completely vegan/vegetarian.
We all loved it. Three of us hit it for lunch on a whim ("HEY!? A pho shop? Cool..."), and realized they took over all the Chew gear, down to the flatware. We liked Chew, so the atmosphere was great right away. Promptly seated and drinks out, we perused the menu, and found a nice mix. I ordered the Pho Tom Yum with Shrimp, and the others ordered and split the Chicken Fried Rice and Banh Mi Sandwich. All were excellent and filling. Service was spot on, and we were desk-to-desk in under an hour.
As for getting the broth "taste exactly right", seriously? Pho is like meatloaf: it is always different and subject to artistic license. This broth was perfect to me right then and there.
Phinaly Pho Downtown. Great lunch spot for a quick bowl of Pho. I've only had their small standard Pho as the other portions are too large. Service is prompt and the pho is pretty standard.
In terms of quality and flavor, it among the top Pho you will find in town.
If you want a richer tasting pho, I recommend adding tripe -- even if you do not eat the tripe. Tripe adds some fat to the soup which gives it a richer flavor.
If you are a hot head -- in terms of food -- ask them for the chili paste. It is a little hotter than the sriracha.

Good food and great service. Some of the best pho that I've had in Jax. The waiter was great; they didn't have shrimp pho on the menu and he made sure to accommodate me. Cute little place. Loved the High Top Tables for a more casual feeling. Amazing broth for the pho, and as we all know, that's the key to amazing pho.
Vegan options. Vegan pho is awesome. Would be way more into the place if they could work out a vegan fried spring roll or some other vegan appetizers. Please open on Sundays for dinner too!
I wanted to first say how amazing our waiter was. We walked in about 30 min to close, which I ALWAYS try to avoid, but the whisky place next door took forever to cash us out. Anyways, the pad Thai is always great. We get level 6 with extra pepper flakes and hot oil. They actually put slices of the pepper in the meal for us too! So spicy and amazing.
I just wanted to make sure I left a comment because the guy was super nice even with us getting there so late. Thank you for the great service and food!
This was a nice little place to come and eat. The gentleman who served my husband and i was very cool, calm, relaxed, and laid back. He offered decent suggestions and was easy to talk to. This place is downtown so yes it has a downtown feel, meaning this is not a white napkin place to eat, so don't go and think you are at William's. I had the pad Thai and i had some to take home. It was great. My husband had a duck soup and it was delicious!
My first noodle bar experience. Great staff waited on us as last customers of the night. Educated us and shared local info. The meal was more than I could eat at one sitting. Leftovers were well loved the next day. I'm now addicted! Delicious.
This place was really good and flavorful. What got us was the portions for the price. A huge bowl of Pho for only $10.00 for a large. A standard was $8.00. Two bowls of standard pho and summer rolls fed my family of four. We were stuffed. Place, was also clean. Bathroom, kitchen visable looked clean and service was very fast. I recommend this spot for a clean, fast and tasty, inexpensive meal.
Best idea I have had in a long time. I just got back from there and it was delicious. The portions were huge, the food was quality and flavorful, the subdued atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff is very attentive and friendly. I will be going back soon and implore you to do the same!
Great food, great drinks, and an amazing atmosphere. Frank is the best! I love just sitting and watching his interactions with some ignorant, pretentious guests who think they have a servant and find out very quickly they're being waited on by a REAL person. This restaurant is a real treat!
The beef pho was pretty good, had no complaints. Big servings and tasty. The set up of the restaurant was nice and our waiter was very nice. We ddi go at a very slow time though.
We thought we had a Frank but it was an Andrew. He was helpful and attentive with a half full house. Food was fantastic...I don't eat wheat and my boyfriend doesn't eat meat...enough choices to leave us feeling sweet.
Aside from the bathroom door lock being difficult to lock or unlock (for kiddos), it was a good experience. The restaurant seemed clean, bathroom too, and the staff was very accommodating and kind. The food was delicious!
food is awesome. service is great. never had a problem with a server or service. maybe if you ask a stupid question or are being ridiculous the server will give you a "Frank" answer.
