I've driven by this place dozens of times, but have never gone in, so I decided to have my birthday dinner there. As soon as we walked in they asked why are we so dressed up and I told them, then they asked for my name. During my dinner they offered me wine but I declined since my friends and I couldn't afford it, then the owner gave us a glass on the house! After our dinner they sang me happy birthday and gave me a dessert. Our waiter was so great, the food was amazing, and the owner made sure everything was good. Then we walked around riverside for a bit, on our way back to get our cars we saw the owner drinking wine with a couple inside, he told us to come in too. The 6 of us ended up finishing 4 bottles of wine and having amazing conversation. The restaurant is small but it's perfect, it even looks like the dining room at my grandmother's house. They treated me like family and made me feel so special. I will definitely be back again, I only regret not going in sooner.
Primi Piatti is such an unassuming little place, but what a pleasant surprise - a hidden gem! I can think of absolutely nothing to suggest for improvement. Both the food and service were perfect. We shared an order of mussels - delicious, hubby had linguine and clams - excellent, but my dish was the stand out - red snapper cooked with garlic, capers and wine over pasta with green beans and carrots......oh....my....goodness - cooked to perfection! I've lived and eaten all over, and this fish was crazy good! We will definitely be back!
Had an incredible dinner - the lasagna special and rainbow trout special. Both were amazing. The best part of the night was the owner stopping by to ask how we enjoyed our food, and when he heard we were celebrating a birthday, he brought out a beautifully presented and absolutely delicious lemon cake. Vibrant flavors and the best cake I’ve ever had. Thank you for an amazing experience. 10 stars!
The lobster ravioli was amazing! Had a great time and I just want to say I really appreciate the food service and atmosphere! Was a great time all around.
Fabulous restaurant, excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and exquisite wines! Made a reservation for 13 for the holidays and it did not disappoint! The place is beautifully cozy and intimate. I highly recommend the calamari, lobster ravioli, and a glass of Francesco wine. My family had such a lovely time, that we decided to make this place our newest christmas eve’s eve tradition! This is a special place to take a date, family, your friends, or even yourself for a wonderful evening! Definitely a must visit place if you live in Jacksonville!
Superb little spot for authentic Italian and great service. Such a great meal! Yum!! Will be a regular here for sure!

The atmosphere is so elegant and cozy. My reservations for the little table by the window. It was so beautiful with the candle light, rose and two person setting. The food was excellent ordered the Mozzarella for appetizer. Shrimp Fettuccine Cabarna with no scallions as my entree. The sauce could of been a little less soupy more thicker. All of it was on the bottom of the bowl. So we had to just spoon it onto the top of the pasta. They don't have the olive oil with the herbs mixed together so it's just butter now. The bread was a little too hard the oil mixture made it soak into the bread. All in all I enjoyed it and I'll continue to go back. This place is awesome with true authentic Italian. The service is top notch as well. George the Front of the house manager and Steward the waiter awesome service. These two give a great face to this restaurant. 1st impressions are always last impressions. They will take great care of you.
We just moved to Jacksonville and are excited to have found our new "go-to" restaurant in town! Our group 5 ranged from 11 to 80 years young, and everybody loved it. The atmosphere, food, and house wines were all 5 stars. The service was 5 star time 2! They made us feel like family, and we look forward to returning soon.

A quaint family owned restaurant in the heart of Jacksonville. Come early, or make reservations. Bring good company and enjoy yourselves, you won't be disappointed. I ordered two specials, a cup of pasta fagioli and a four cheese lasagna. With two Peroni, I left full and satisfied. The atmosphere is loud, but it's Italian, come on. 🤌
I wasn’t sure what to expect. I have driven by this place for ages. We finally stopped to eat. It was great. The inside looks so much better then I anticipated. The place is small so make a reservation.
The service was great. The food was amazing. This is not Olive Garden. I bet they don’t even have a microwave in the back.
All in all I really enjoyed everything.

A wonderful little place. We got lucky with no reservation because we came early on a Friday night. Reservations on a Friday and probably Saturday are a must. The food was superb.
