I got the Western omelette. It had a lot of bell pepper for my preference but was still delicious. It seems to be a very popular place as it was packed and had a short waiting line. Had an Awesome waiter named Andrew!
If you want some home cooking this is the best place in Jacksonville. I go to the Baymeadows location. It's great they have a few locations. Ummm, comfort food. And so much to choose from. Today I had breakfast for lunch. I had the meat lover's omelet. And yes, it was loaded with sausage, ham and bacon... plus cheese. It was great. I can't have a lot of carbs so this was perfect. And they let me substitute fruit for the potatoes. The fruit was very fresh and sweet. My server was on her toes and friendly. She even gave me a drink to go. That's a great deal for a restaurant. They buy a little good will and it costs them very little. All I need now is a nap.

We ate so much food. I had the sirloin egg on hash, wife had an amazing omelet, we shared Fried Chicken and waffle with the strawberry butter, biscuits and sausage gravy. Bloody Mary's and mimosas

I found Metro Diner while visiting Jacksonville and am I glad we did. We ordered the chicken 🐔 and Waffles 🧇 add strawberries 🍓, and the metro club. Everything was hot,well seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The Waffles were made with love and that fried chicken tasted like it came out my momma kitchen (yes it was that good). I can't wait to visit Jacksonville again to eat at Metro Diner, you have a new found customer in me.
Family was on vacation and found Metro Diner. Food was good and hot. You get a lot of food for the price. Servers could have been more friendly, but all the less, I will return if in FL again.
There is absolutely NO WAY you won’t enjoy this place!!!! Took my family here for the first time while staying over in Jax. They blew us all away. Food 100% get the chicken and dadgum waffle! The waitress were absolutely the best face this company could have. Happy, excited about the menu, so hospitable. We ate the evening of 7/6/23 if the bosses happen to read this; those girls deserve a pat on the back!
While traveling, I stopped into this gem. The service from the moment I stepped in the door was wonderful. My server was Cory and he took great of me. The food was delicious. I ordered the Bissel breakfast. I’m a GA girl and these grits were sooooooo good. The Manager stopped by the table and was interactive. This place would definitely be my go to if I were local. Must try!
Visiting from Fort Worth, Texas, after being out of Florida for two years. My friend took me here for lunch and to catch up. My Burger Fries and Corn Chowder was awesome! I couldn't finish it all. I had to take the rest home for dinner.

Even though we did have a few issues with our food, my husband, Mike, and I are leaving a good review because the manager, Mona, took care of us in such a professional and courteous manner. She listened and did not try to make excuses. She was genuinely concerned with our satisfaction and making sure we would return— which we will. Thanks Mona!
