When I eat here, I get so full I feel like I’m gonna pop! Everything is delicious, the staff is great!

It was a surprise. I stopped here to charge my car. People are very friendly, not just the staff even their customers. Many of them are large groups of friends and family. Lots of laughs and fun. Staff was taking care of all with a lovely smile on their face. I just ordered a vegetable burger, they gave me with awesome taste. Not sure when I will go to Jackson, CA again, but surely visit this place.

Made a flying visit on our way to Lake Tahoe from Yosemite. Cannot fault how lovely and helpful our waitress was. Decent food and delicious milkshakes. Unfortunately two pieces of my mum's fried chicken were raw on the inside, so we let them know - they took it very seriously, were very apologetic, and ended up getting our bill on the house. These things happen and we were very happy with how they dealt with it, clearly this doesn't happen often and we caught them on a particularly busy night!

First time to go to Mel and Faye's Diner. Two of us went for breakfast. I had biscuits and gravy and eggs benedict. (That was a special of the day). The biscuits and gravy were amazing. We were told that they by the meats from a butcher down the street. You can really tell it in the flavor. My spouse had chicken, fried steak and gravy and a waffle. This place is a must go to on your next adventure through or to Jackson.

I believe it is Mel&Fayes. The restaurant has quite the history of coming up from a window serve burger soft serve to a sit down diner and a bar. The waiters were fast and the business has a high turn around. The food was great. We experienced the rush from the local highschool football game. Its a staple for the town of Jackson that seems to have the locals happy and full. A great place to visit.

Mel's Diner has exactly the kind of food you would expect from a restaurant with this name; good, homey American dishes. The date of establishment is 1958 and it definitely has that 50's look. It's nice that there is outside dining. Despite the huge amount of customers because of a car show, Jennifer provided outstanding service!

Fun local diner and classic bit of Americana. Staff were attentive and food was exactly as we expected. It was a lovely and fun meal and very affordable.

I had the fish and chips, yummy! Their tarter sauce is different and worth a trip just for it.
They were very busy but our waitress was attentive and paid attention to details.

Delicious food, generous portion sizes and reasonably priced. ♡ The ladies were all very nice and quick on refills. The restroom was clean and pleasant. The environment was fun and enviting. We had a lovely breakfast and will definitely be back next time we're in the area.
