Food was great! Pork rind brisket nachos (perfect for me since I do not eat carbs:) hubby had bacon melt sandwich, which was good and I had 1/2 slab of ribs. Gotta say I was shocked with the ribs. Sauce very good, but quality of meat was awesome, all meat and barely any fat! definitely recommend!
A friendly place for the best BBQ this yankee has had. You must try the Pork Belly Corn Dogs. This is a taste sensation that will totally redefine your corn dog experience. Plenty of beer to choose. My favorite restaurant in Mississippi.
We stopped by after packing my daughter's dorm and I'm glad we did. Great barbecue, packed with flavor and love. The price point is great and they have lots of options for families, couples or someone dining alone. The collard greens make you want to kiss the cook. We, a family of 3 shared the grand champion for 2 and had left over. It comes with a full rack of baby back ribs, 2 additional meats of your choice and 4 sides. Like Arnold, I'll be back!
Amazing food!! So so so tasty and flavorful! I’m from NC and my family & I stopped here on our way back home and we’re so glad we did! The service was super friendly. Very nice atmosphere and environment. Parking on site. Outdoor seating and covered outdoor seating.
If you are looking for the feeling of big back yard bbq, this is the place to be.honestly was such a great atmosphere. The food was really, best damn homemade mac n cheese I have had in while. I got the pulled pork and it did not disappoint
When I'm traveling to Jackson, this is the one place I insist on eating. The BBQ is outstanding. The ribs are some of the best I've had. Friendly staff and cool vibe (converted gas station). Highly recommend.
Excellent barbecue! Sauces are dynamite and the meats are made with love. Really nice bark in the brisket and the ribs fall right off the bone.
This is definitely one of my new Top 5 smoke houses! It my first time here and I already can't wait to go back. The food was absolutely perfect! Everything was smoked full of flavors and cooked to perfection. The vibe was laid back and easy. The staff were friendly and even held nice conversations with us while we ate. They had a nice wide selection of local brews and even gave detailed suggestions. Words just cannot do this place justice. You need to go there and find out yourself. You will absolutely need to go hungry because the portions are very generous but the price point is not what you'd expect for this quality and quality of food! The prices for everything are more than fair and it won't break the bank to eat here a few times a week! Go try it!
I have to say, the brisket is the best i’ve had, although most of my experience was in Texas, Tennessee, and lower-quality Canadian joints. Ribs were melting in your mouth. Loved the fried green tomatoes with comeback sauce, pork belly corndogs with the tomato-ginger sauce, and boudin balls with mustard sauce. The banana bread was amazing. Of course, the sides were well executed. Just had some left-over beans for breakfast and I wish I had more left!
Truly a national-class institution in my opinion.
The Chief Pit Master Grant is very passionate and fun to talk to.
Delicious BBQ as you would expect. What I thought was worth the 450 mile drive from Texas was the beer and bread pudding. Bailey, tending the bar, was exceptionally helpful pointing me toward a beer I'd like from the reported 150 beers available. As tasty as the beer was the bread pudding takes the cake.
