This is by far one of the best steak and game restaurants I have ever been to. The experience started upon arrival when our original plan of splitting up our party of 10 to sit earlier was immediately fixed after we arrived. They had a table for us ready to go which is unheard of. The waitress was top notch and made sure our courses were timed just right. I had the Mixed Game Plate which includes a buffalo prime rib, venison bratwurst and an elk sirloin. I ordered them rare and they were cooked to perfection. The flavor of all three was out of this world, but I have to give it up for the prime rib. There was no need for any condiments. The flavor was definitely stand alone.
If you are looking for an amazing steak dinner when staying in Jackson Hole, don't waste your money anywhere else. The Gun Barrel is the way to go. They also have an awesome local beer selection, but I would like to see them feature a stout or a porter. Don't get me wrong though, everything was awesome from start to finish!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food was very good, the service excellent and the kitchen prepared the food very quickly and properly. I had the Buffalo prime rib (which even my wife enjoyed, I finally got her to try bison) and she had the trout. I highly recommend this place. Make reservations if possible but the walk in wait was only 15 minutes on Sunday of Labor Day weekend.
We came here twice while we were in town, because it was that good. We’ve tried the bison prime rib, bison ribs, bison ravioli and The salmon. All were incredible. I’d recommend the bison prime rib, the salmon and garlic mashed potatoes. In addition, the French onion soup was to die for! And our service was top notch! Waiters were on top of it and so friendly! Definitely come here on your trip!
We were able to get reservations three hours before they opened and were immediately seated on our arrival.
Our server, Steven, was attentive (kept our glasses filled), personable, and made us feel very welcomed.
I had the Western Burger and my sweetheart had the Bison Ribs. The food was superb!!!
Finished the meal by sharing the cobbler and got the apple pie to take home.

This place was fantastic!!! My first time in Wyoming and this food was everything I had been dreaming about. I had the Elk Medallions with a side of mashed potatoes, the huckleberry sauce drizzled on it was fantastic, meat was cooked perfectly!!! The bison ravioli flavor was AMAZING!!!! Service was on point and we loved the atmosphere! I would definitely visit this place again when I'm in Jackson Hole!

We had a reservation and were able to be seated a little early. Our waiter, Robert C, was helpful and attentive, as were all the other staff we interacted with. We already made plans to go back tomorrow night!

The true highlight of this establishment is the exceptional quality of the food. The menu boasts an impressive selection, and even at these prices, every dish is worth the indulgence. Our steaks were a true work of art, presented in a visually enticing manner and cooked to absolute perfection. The flavors were exquisite, and every bite was a delight to savor.

Seated early for our reservation, our server Emma was great. Quick to greet us and take cocktail orders. Special order huckleberry margarita was yummy. Emma recommended the bison tenderloin and we were not disappointed. Loved it all…we will come here again!

Only downside was that we had a reservation and yet still found ourselves having to wait about 15min. Which in itself isn't too bad.
We went on a 4 day vacation in Salt Lake city and yellowstone area, so you can imagine we went to eat to several different locations. This place by far was the best! Exceeded all my expectations. I've never tried bison before this occassion and, I can now say that it is delicious. I had ordered the mixed game grill which came with elk tenderloin, bison ribeye, and deer sausage along with some garlic mash potatoes and 3 sauces : pan dripping au jus, bordelaise sauce, and bearnaise sauce. A multitude of flavor combinations. The cocktails were prepared beautifully, and they offer some variety in terms of their whiskey menu. My fiancee had the bison ravioli which offered a new take on the classic dish. It was packed with flavor. Prior to our entrees we had the salmon cakes and French soup. They were good, but greatly overshadowed by the entrees. The creme Brulee offered a subtle sweet ending to our decadent dinner. I strongly recommend people eat here, and I will definitely go back one day!
This place was awesome. I have seen it in TV and heard nothing but great things. When traveling through Jackson Hole it was a must to stop and try. The service was great. We were sat right away. Drinks and food came out quickly. Over all it was a great experience.
Overall, we had a 4 star experience. The restaurant had a fun and inviting atmosphere. The bison and elk tenderloins were good, and didn't need the sauce. The bison ribs fell off the bone and were very tender. The cocktails were okay.
We were extremely impressed with just about everything. I got the mixed game plate which comes with Elk Stake, Prime Bison Ribs, and Venison bratwurst with a side of sautéed onions and mushrooms. The best game I've ever had (that wasn't my own). the service was top notch. everyone was extremely kind and helpful. drinks never saw the bottom and food came in about 10-15 minutes for a table of 4. felt like a bass pro shop shopping center!
