The Bird was impressive. A local bar with a laid back atmosphere. The views are some of the best you'll find in a bar. The food might be even better. The hamburger, wings, and Sunday brunch are all some.od the best you'll find.

Being on a round trip we stopped here last Friday for dinner very hungry. I decided to take the Schnitzel. Coming from Germany also known as THE Schnitzel country that‘s quite a challenge. What can I say? I have had one of the best Schnitzel in my life. It was that good that the great view from the terrace didn‘t really count anymore.

Very busy spot! We went on a Wednesday and it was jam packed. Got a burger and wings and both were good. They use english muffins are the bread (not my favorite but not bad). Nice patio space that is dog friendly. Cool restaurant to try

Outstanding burgers, great fries, and both for a good price. The 4oz burgers (Patty Melt and BBQ) we ordered were amazing. Got it to go and had to wait just a little, but well worth it. Atmosphere was that of a classic town bar, not a tourist-centric establishment - very refreshing at that!

I always look for a place where the locals go to find the best food and that is what I found at “The Bird” outside Jackson, WY. You will find this bar and restaurant in the back of an eclectic collection of businesses on the highway between Jackson and Alpine. They have a vast assortment of beers on tap which change regularly which you can tell by the impressive array of taps hanging from the walls and rafters. My wife and I both had the wings. She had hot BBQ and I had the medium buffalo style which were still spicy. Both tasted incredible. They have an outdoor patio with an incredible view of the mountains. Well worth looking for!

A great restaurant off the center of Jackson. Food is delicious and much more reasonably priced. Both wings and steak are great. See a lot of locals, rather than tourists here. However, the staff do seem to be more friendly to the locals than to us :-P

Excellent food! Excellent service! Excellent beer! 90$ for 4 of us including beers ..was not bad. The views from outside are great. Parking with an RV towing was tricky...but would stop again.

If you go at night, don't be fooled by few lights up front; go all the way to the back! Dined there in mid-Oct on a Wednesday and it was light on patrons in the open seating area but rather busy at the bar at 8:30PM. Wasn't overly impressed by our reception as we had to hunt down a server to get menus, but it greatly improved from there. Then there was the food; AWESOME! The 4oz burgers were uniquely served on a toasted English muffins which was cool because several of us got burgers with eggs! Fries came out hot & crispy! The naked wings were super crisp and the ranch was thick & rich.

Awesome hot wings! The mild buffalo was spicy (to me) but still had a great unique flavor. The blue cheese was tasty too. Fries were great, and so was the house made onion dip with chips. The birdhouse burger was huge but not the best flavor for an $18 burger... really wish it came on a normal bun. Maybe they can do that if you request it.. we were unaware it came on an English muffin & didnt think to ask. Fries were great, and so was the house made onion dip with chips.

Though known for their burgers, we decided on wings with a side of fries and did not regret it. I had 6 of the medium buffalo sauce. My daughter had 6 of the medium ginger sauce. We were both very pleased with the wings. And to top it off the fries are delicious - reminded me of carnival fries when I was a kid.
Their beer selection is also pretty good with some local and national craft beers. The wait staff was very courteous and helpful. The patio is the place to be when the sun is out in the Spring. Unfortunately for us, it was hiding for most of the evening, but popped out enough to keep us cozy.
We didn't order any steaks, but they were out of stock during our visit, so if that is what you are looking for call ahead.
We do not have any complaints.

Loved this place just for the ambiance, but was extremely hot the day we went and had to sit inside. Their beer menu is great. Ordered the veg burger, was really good.(But the best like it says in the menu.)

Traveling through Jackson and found this place. What a treat! The view from the deck was fantastic, the beer selection was vast and equally delicious, and the burgers served in English muffins were top notch! Felt like this was a semi-hidden gem. Would come back here frequently!

Our friends met us there for lunch. Gorgeous day to sit out on deck. The menu includes half sized burgers for starters and is just the right amount for some of us. Delicious.

We have been there on a couple of occasions and have recommended it to a half-dozen friends. Today we went with our extended family, and we made the mistake of requesting that the bill be split evenly. “The owner” Will confronted us, said that he wouldn’t do that anytime quickly because they were busy. We suspect that he didn’t know how, as he was very aggressive about such a simple request. We left it as a whole, but were all shocked by his behavior, as were people near us. The staff is very good, hardworking. The food is solid, good selection of drafts. It is a ways from town, so it needs to be special. The owner stands in the way of that, but with some maturity, more wisdom and less attitude, he could even help it get there.

The Bird has a great deck, and the view is pretty awesome. We all had burgers and enjoyed it very much. The burgers are made of brisket and are very juicy. You should go.

The best wings in the valley. Excellent burgers too. The beer selection is different than anywhere else in town with lots of imports. Parking is terrible. Ride with a friend.

Not For Just anyone. This place is a Bar, with pizzaz. Loved the service, food, atmosphere and the staff were great. A place with a sense of humor. So if you don't have one don't go there. Ordered apps, Veggie burger, and a reg. Burger all were above average.

Good Burger, But . . .. Well, the burger was really good. But it was about 5 bites and gone! I got a 9oz. burger and it was served on an English Muffin. No kidding. A 9 oz piece of beef fit on an English Muffin! Fries were great. All of this for $15.90. I had plenty of room left to go to the yogurt place for dessert.

Great burger. Very good, attentive , friendly service. We sat down at only available booth and the manager came over and whipped table. Did not notice it needed it till he did it.<br/>Then we ate an excelant burger. I had 9 oz and wife had 6oz. My only problem was they would not give me the recipe. I make really good burgers, but they put something in theirs , I could not figure.

At Must !!. This place has the best food in Jackson! I kid you not! A relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff can't say enough good! The also offer free transportation just tip the driver!

A truely unique place to be. The week we were there, we watched helicopters dumping water on a fire (cost $8 mil) to the east and a magnificent sunset over the Grand Tetons. Local were warm and friendly. Food was terrific, the fries were worth the stop, along. Large selection of German draft beers.

We love the bird's burgers beer and view! The overall vibe is chill and friendly - the staff will not harass you and treats you like adults- if you want something ask for it! Truly and service industry's town kind of place!

English Muffin? Really?. No question the slab of meat they call a burger is large- disgustingly oversized in fact. Then they put it on an english muffin... you might as well skip the bread altogether & just scoop ground beef out of a bowl with your hand. Made the mistake of trying it a second time- "mediocre" is a generous description of the Philly. Pretty sure it was the owner that was drunkenly slobbering at our table bragging about the french fries which I thought were average at best. DON'T BOTHER!

The Bird. A great locals restaurant, friendly people and staff, and the food is really good! It's the kind of place to go to when looking for a great meal and feel good about being there. Dress code is whatever you want it to be. It's a place where you can always count on good food!

Fantastic Food. I've been to every state on business travel including Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) and I've never had a better Philly. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Burgers are exceptional, and the big screen TV and crowd make it great for sporting events. One of my favorite places in Jackson. Lot's of locals eat here, it's a bit off the path for tourists, but those that find it are very pleasantly surprised.

Slammin' food. This is the best burger...if not on the planet...at least that i have ever eaten. and the philly cheesesteak? not even a better philly in philly. i see the review that someone named 'jess' wrote. anyone who complains about atmosphere and price in this place, has obviously never tried the food. i'll be back.

From a roster of more than 20 burgers (including one with no distractions, just meat), I choose a Shue, cooked a perfect medium rare and topped simply with grilled onions, American cheese and a runny egg. It’s sufficiently great that the salty fries, while good, hardly seem necessary. Maybe I should have replaced my four-ounce patty with a nine ouncer, though, at a neighbouring table, the latter seems to overwhelm the English-muffin bun.
